Obviously this guy has a hard on for the Rockets front brass (pun intended)... some guys just can't get enough of the Mow-ry!
I don't think he will accept one. Only 8 teams will be able to afford a max deal next year, and he cannot sign one with the team he joins because he will lose bird rights if bought out. The NBAPA really f'ed up the cap for all parties involved.

I think he would accept one. He was pushing for one before Phil got fired. Melo isn't getting a max on the open market, and he wouldn't be getting 1 from us either even if he was traded here and we retained his Bird Rights. He's worth nowhere near a max at this point of his career.
I should rephrase, still not used to 40 mil maxes yet. He's def not going under 20, RA makes 20. He pushed before the players and agents realized the cap f'ed them hard. It would be very, VERY, unwise to take a BO. Unless he wants to joint GSW for 1 year then head off to a non contender.
