McGrady is done as a star in the NBA. If he can control his ego and adjust his role he might have a few more years in the league. Somehow I highly doubt that will happen.

An inside source told me that Tmac doesn't understand sarcasm or what 'air quotes' means.

So take that for what it's worth.

We all know Yao is a super nice guy, probably him.

Also Shane I could see him saying that...but do they really mean it ;)

I talked to a few players at the Rockets Season Ticket Holder Event last week, and Chuck is cool with (MAC) as he calls him...

well, McGrady took it the wrong way when they said that, somehow insinuating that they wish the trade hadn't been done, but I have no doubt that they said it. The Rockets are a family. When they said they miss him, what they were saying is they missed their former teammate and friend.

Yeah, the Billing department of the Rox is missing him, now they have to make paychecks to Hill, Jeffries and Martin. He just tripple their work by leaving, it was much easier to write a single 23 million dollar check.

    I miss TMac too.

Its been about 3 years now since he disappeared off the face of the earth. I wonder what ever happen to that guy, he was an awesome player. You know he was a great player cause people still swear they see the guy like Elvis sightings. My buddy tried to tell me today this guy wearing a number 3 jersey on the knicks playing against the Rockets today. I LOLed so hard! I said, "yeah right just like when the nba had that fake Jordan look-a-like playing for the wiz in yesteryear"

Did anyone bother to put Tmacs face on the back of a milk carton or anything.

This is a very funny thread. Thanks for making my day after that close win over the Knicks.

What I hear is TMac reminiscing a lot about his time with the Rockets. The other day he talked about Luis being his son's favorite player. Maybe he is the one who misses his time with the guys because we have good people on our team. Solid guys who even when he threw them under the bus wouldn't say anything bad against him.

Give it time, I think he will learn to accept that his best years are behind him already. He can still be a good player but his time with the Rockets were the last in which he could command superstar adoration. And that is what he is missing. I think this is healthy, part of the process of accepting the limitations of life.

The players are more professional than fans, they try to say some nice things to their former teammates, but do not take it seriously, it is just like your former girl friend who said she was missing you after she left you, but that does not mean she hates you, likely does not miss you.

wouldn't surprise me. during the game, i saw AB and lowry talking real friendly with tmac as free throws are shot. hell, lowry walked across the court just to talk to tmac at around 2-3 min mark left as free throws are shot.

and we all know when tmac just came back as a rocket, lowry posted on his twitter with great anticipation and landry along with other teammates gave him a standing ovation from the bench.

i think the problem is mostly b/t management and tmac.

I think by "ex-teammates" he means the ultimate consummate professional:
