Come on. He played for 5 straight years as a Rocket. Of course she, sorry, he has some friends here. It is not a sensation and it's not a big deal

In an unrelated story, apparently knicks forward Tracy McGrady is seeking medical help for his schizophrenia. Sources close to McGrady say he is hearing voices that aren't there.

I don't know who Tracy hangs out with but I know he's good friends with chuck hayes. I believe they went out clubbing one time while T-Mac was trying to get back into game shape last year.

Why not? Its hard to spend the majority of your time together for 2,3, 4 years in hotels, on planes, buses, etc. without forming some sort of bond. Either way, you'd hope a pro NBA player with any kind of proper demeanor, which the Rockets pride themselves on, would not be saying anything negative about an ex-teammates.

When Battier first arrived, he used to rave about Tracy. I remember him saying a gay quote, "Tracy is Mac-tacular." But Battier called on him on that article about Ron Artest last year. I think the quote was something like, "I really like playing with Ron. I've never had somebody on the floor who went after the ball as much as he does. You know, with Tracy, he'd point to somebody half-way across the court and I'd have to run all the way to cover him. With Ron, it's like a breath of fresh air."

it's official. rockets got the better end of the deal. only way tmac really improves his situation is to sign with a team like boston or something in the offseason (for the MLE).

it feels good knowing he can't go elsewhere and dominate anymore. he'll only be riding others coattails.

I think it's not hard to see why his teammates would miss him - he was a big part of their success and winning - especially during the 22 game win streak. And he was a guy they all knew as they come onto the team.

Watching T-mac play today - he's still a good player, but he's definitely no where near what he used to be. His jump shot is even flatter and he's just not as quick. Rockets got the better end of the deal.

Also T-mac's defense on K-mart late in the game - I've never seen a guy force a jump ball like that. Tmac obviously wanted to make a statement.

It would have been a lot more impressive if someone on the team had actually been quoted saying it instead of McGrady himself. Hearsay...

I know most of you guys here on this GARM thinks that Tmac is delusional because none of you guys miss him. But some players on the Rockets team do miss him because even if he was injured, he was with them in the locker room, supporting them on the bench.

Tmac has been a Rockets for 5 seasons. Those guys know him more than we do. Even though he struggled on the court and with the organization, there is no reason why the players shouldn't miss him. I often heard that some players said that Tmac was very funny and he's a really good person.

Tmac had lots of shortcommings, but generally he was a good guy. Even one of the top Tmac critics, Richard Justice, admits this. But you can tell basketball isn't his favorite sport, he just plays because he has natural talent.

That's probably why he doesn't lay it all out on the floor 100% of the time. When he is in pain, he just doesn't push himself, because quite frankly, he would probably rather be doing something else.

I think its all a misunderstanding.

See TMac thinks they miss him now.

What the Rockets players meant was that they missed him when he was a Rocket and the games actually mattered. He was always no where to be seen!
