Players don't hold grudges like fans.

I do remember people saying Battier didn't like him though. Don't know what is true.

great stuff lol, seriously though whose to say whether anyone really misses him, all speculation. This thread sounds like girl talk at a slumber party.

yeah i cant believe its so hard to believe that they may miss him. It's not al in a basketball context. For all the hate tmac deserves and gets he's not really a bad guy, i'm sure he was fun to hang out with and joke with during the good times and maybe even soem bad times. Just because they said they missed him doesnt mean they meant tehy wish the trade never happened or that they wished he was still a rocket. It could be as simple as they miss having him around or talking to him.

And to still believe players hated him after a lto of them took the time to say hello to him pre-game and post game?? Not just say hey, but stick around and have a conversation, which included a lot of smiles? C'mon now..

Being someones friend is fine, you're right players don't think like fans. I never said he didn't have friends, I'm sure he does no way he couldn't. I seriously doubt that any player that wants to win really feel Like Mac has much to offer as a player with the way the team is constructed. Mac showed he was not ready while here, and if he was still with the team he would be taking minutes away from any combination of Brooks,Martin and Lowry. Players know he just does not fit.

I don't dislike Mac as a person, I just don't like him for this team, and am more than happy with the trade.

Typical McGrady. He still thinks the world revolves around him.

No one on the team misses his drama ass.

I don't kid. This IS the wrong forum for T-Mac stuff. He's no longer a Rocket, so his stories go in the NBA Dish.

Watching the Knicks broadcast, I saw Shane and Trevor standing around talking with TMac for a while before the game. I'm guessing they don't hate the guy. TMac probably just heard people say they missed him which I don't find impossible when you've played with the guy or been around him for years. I'm sure there are those that don't like him, as well. To say he's universally hated is just personal hate entering into it.

The only thing Tracy hears are the voices inside his head...

I'm so happy this immature, self-absorbed quitter is gone.

Wasn't Chuck Hayes supposed to be one of his few friends in the locker room?

I don't think any of us really knows. I have no idea, but I think Shane and Trevor would have to be some serious BS'ers to put up the kind of front they were putting up during that conversation they were having among one another. But who knows?

My theory on Tmac coming back to the Rockets in 2010 continues.

    80+ % chance he comes back. ;0

That'd be interesting since during the Knicks broadcast, they played interviews of TMac where he's saying he felt kind of mistreated with the way things were handled. He mentioned the team not backing him up when everyone in the media was running with stories about him like the one where he supposedly never told the team he was going to have the surgery before announcing it to the world. He said that was pretty much BS and that he had told the team.

Who knows what's true and what's not. I do know that I don't fully trust team or player in most of these situations.
