last year we were 13-9 in games decided by 5 points or less and finished the season with a -0.4 differential this season we are 9-14 in games decided by 5 points or less and we currently have a +1.5 differential Although I will agree that record is all that matters in the end, I won't agree that similar play is what led this years record to be so similar to last years. Differential almost always is a better indicator of a quality of a team because of the fact that close games involve a fair amount of outside influences. Reffing, fluke shots, bad bounces and dumb luck all can have a profound effect on those close games. Last year we were playing worse, but definitely had some luck go our way. This year we have been playing much better and just haven't had the luck to go along with it.
