Rockets probably want to trade Brewer. Probably thought benching him would make that harder, but little did they know....
Look, what KJ has shown thus far in very limited minutes is garbage. OTOH, Brewer is garbage a lot of the time. What really bothers me is, would KJ be less garbage right now or the team any worse if KJ had played all of Brewer's minutes thus far? The correct answer is I don't know. My opinion is that KJ would be better than Brewer right now and we would not have any significant change to our W/L record, but unfortunately it doesn't fit the system of players earning minutes on a team trying to win games. Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Look at that - we are finally to that point in the season when a handful of people say, "Houston must be playing Brewer to showcase him in a trade"? Happens every year. Brewer's entire career has been a showcase to trade him. Good times.
KJ would help us in providing some defense, and he would get up the court in a hurry. He's great for catching lobs and dunking (not so much on shooting). But D'Antoni likes shooters. And KJ not playing might indicate (might, could, should, may, if) the team doesn't want to hurt the potential trade bait / trade filler. A shame, because he could really spell Trevor, who's got too much mileage to play so many minutes.
We have already determined that Brewer has incriminating evidence against Les and Morey. Maybe something about a golden shower in a Russian hotel room. Anyway, I certainly didn't say Brewer shoots better than anyone. If I had to check him in a YMCA pickup game---me, a 48 year-old white guy of dubious athleticism: "ROX, you got Brew!"---I'm sure he would destroy me. Put him in the NBA, however, and you have a problem.
Tough to go from playing in Philadelphia to watching Corey Brewer play. Meh... #FreeSquidTWilliams #FreeKJ #FreeScrubswhothinktheyrebetterthantheyare #FreeScrubsbeingheldbackbycoaches #Freethemall!
I know this isn't in game but I was watching halftime shoot around and KJ drained 19 3 points in a row. I counted. Free the beast.
its not the same...you have different chemicals during the game..its like saying the words when you're alone in front of the mirror and saying them in front of the girl when everybodys watching
Then he's got no chance, he cut his hair a couple days ago. Besides, the only thing this hairstyle was good for was: I hope KJ gets traded and balls his ass off just because of that bullshit
He doesn't give us any rim protection. I love the guy but every time he plays our opponents roll through the open lane at will. Put Nene or Clint back in and it stops.
Nope, he needs to shave his head and wear a headband and sit between Scorey Brewer and MDA so that when D'Antoni turns for Scorey KJ can jump in there and "tryna hoop" in his place.
Jonathan Feigen: What would he need to be able to do work his way in... Pringles: K.J.? Jonathan Feigen: Yeah Pringles: Be more forceful on defense -- that's the biggest thing It's from: http://www.nba.com/rockets/video/archive/#Interviews Coach D'Antoni: Shootaround 01-27-2017 So he needs a Padawan braid, but he just cut his hair off. Is there a new hope? Will this message be sent to K.J. via hologram? When Corey Brewer makes a three:
KJ should. For the last 3 years, we have not had a wing thta prevented Ariza from playing too many minutes and Brewer is unplayable. Plus, trading for a wing will cost a lot.
