Yes, it's good to see him back and playing well tonight. I almost forgot about his terrific athleticism when he missed so many games this year. We really need his defense and hustle later in the season and the playoffs.

this is a good game to knock off the rust for snyder, he can play to his hearts content against a crappy team.

Man, I hope it wasn't just lousy defense that made him look good. He just really seemed to be on tonight.

Great game for Snyder but he won't always play this good. The key is for him to completely find his game for the playoffs. The Bobcats are very bad defensively, so don't read too much into tonights game. Nevertheless, it's good to Snyder's exuberance out there. It seems like he's just grateful to be out on the floor and wants to give it all he has.

If we can get this kind of production from Snyder, does that make Bonzi expendable?

Is it possible to trade Bonzi for a decent backup PG and maybe an extra big body? I just don't trust using Luther at PG against playoff-caliber defense.

I've never been a big fan of Bonzi, but I'm not ready to trade him yet. If we had consistent production from Snyder all season, then yes. But we don't know what to expect from Snyder going forward.

I also think the competition between the two players is good. May the best man win the spot in the playoff rotation.

actually, i think the pistons wanted to move a big for a wing player.

how's our TE ($4.2M) for Dale Davis ($3.5M). then trade Bonzi ($2.1M) for a portion of the pistons new $3.5M TE.

since davis and bonzi can't be traded for eachother due to the difference in thier salaries these 2 trades get the same deal done plus gives us a $2.1M TE which is good for a year.

Snyder has very little post up game and would never be considered a 3rd scoring option, Bonzi is valuable for this. I'm not liking the idea of trading Bonzi, unless it's for proven players that are playoff tested, and definitely for a preferably tall PG and a big body that is not a stiff.

I am also losing confidence in Luther's ballhandling and passing when in PG mode, that guy makes some boneheaded plays sometimes. You'd think he'd learn from his mistakes, i guess Pavlov's theory doesn't work on him.

I've noticed a few times watching Luther that when he dribbles standing erect he seems smoother and more confident, makes fewer mistakes. When he bends forward, hunches over, he doesn't seem as confident, doesn't seem to control the ball as well. perhaps he hunches over when he is feels pressured more?

    Anyone else notice this difference?

Kirk was pretty darn good tonight, some great hops.

I truly believe that Kirk will give Rockets big help sooner or later, perhaps we will see how good he is during playoffs.

i dont really see what the big deal is about bonzi's post up game its really not even that good he doesnt even make that many easy layups around the rim like he should. i think kirk is a better player for our team, he has a nice mid range game and untill this yr was a good 3 point shooter. he is also a great slasher and can finish around the rim better than bonzi in my opinion and play good defense. i can see kirk as are starter for yrs to come and see him getting 15-17 ppg, also when snyder goes to the rim and misses a layup its not that he's not a good finisher its that he is getting fouled, i saw this in the last 2 games were he got hit really hard about three or four times and did not get the calls from the refs. thats just my 2 cents, he also isnt a headcase like bonzi and doesnt complain about anything.

Well, Pavlov's theory was only about stimulus/response, not learning over time.

    Nice try though. ;)

100% agree. You may not notice that, kirk did very good slash in and kick out ( at least 2 times) tonight for open teammates in 3 point range. I am all good for him. The only thing he need improvement is FT %. :D

I agree with this Kirk Snyder is better for the rockets then bonzi wells. Also, he can actually make 3's. Snyder should probably be our 6th man if he keeps on playing the way that he did last night. It also looks like him and luther head get along well on the court. I still want the rockets to keep both because they can help us compete against the elite teams in the west. I would love to see Snyder getting some more minutes against sacramento because that will proably be a blow out if the rockets continue to play like they did last night.

If we want to have a chance at winning this thing this year, we've got to keep them both. Bonzi does a lot of great things that Snyder doesn't, and visa versa. They are both combo guard/forwards who can give other teams match up problems at the 2. Those two coming off the bench for you is absolutely huge.

I live both of their games very much, and with regard to Snyder, I see him as a future building block for this team. We've got to keep that guy in a Rocket's uni. Nothing but upside for that kid.
