Just seems like minor trade. They basically get a late first round rookie while making a pretty long-term irrelevant swap of Hinrich for Bibby. I really like Hinrich, and think he was probably a good example for the youngsters (god knows they need some), but he probably wasn't going to be on the team when/if the Wizards ever become halfway decent.

hah, I totally missed that. Great job by the Wizards...especially since they got Hinrich from the Bulls for absolutely nothing.

It isnt much a difference, but the Wizards getting jordan crawford, bibby and evans makes somewhat more sense.

Washington picks up Jordan Crawford, who im assuming they like, while swapping Hinrich's remaining 8 million for Bibby's 6.2mil next year.

Dont know much about jordan crawford, other than his dunk on Lebron a few summers ago and that he supposedly has some potential as a scorer. It seems like a decent move for Washington, plus while i do like Hinrich, i dont think Washington can pickup much more than a late 1st rounder (crawford) for him.

Unless I'm reading something wrong they're saying the Hawks also included a future first round pick (in addition to Crawford).

The freaking hawks need to trade for a center and stop playing half the team out of position. Geez and they cant figure out why they are a team nobody respects. Horford is a pf not a center and smith is a small forward not a power forward they would be way better if they traded for just an ok center.

wow apparently they can, as they are seemingly are also getting a 1st round pick also ! We'll have to wait to see what restrictions are on the pick, but it seems wiz really did well for themselves.

Even funnier is the Bulls gave the Wizards the 17th pick of last years draft (Kevin Seraphin) just so they'd take Hinrich off their hands. So essentially the Wizards got three first rounders for taking Hinrich.

Dang, Hawks gave up alot. Jordan Crawford might become a steal and not only that, the wiz gets a first. Man, some teams can be a little short sighted sometimes.

    It's a typo in the link. It's actually a 5 PLAYER trade.

Yeah it won't be a high pick but still they gave up a lot.

Hawks fans were high on Jordan Crawford and were happy as hell when they traded for him during the draft lol

Hallelujah! The end of the Mike Bibby era has arrived!

No seriously, I appreciate all he did for the Hawks since that team really took off once he arrived initially (while he was still good), but since then his skills have impact have declined severely. It would have been nice to keep him on as a backup PG, a role that clearly suits him at this point, but the Hawks needed to make a move. If Bibby needed to take the fall, so be it.

Acquiring Hinrich was a tad pricey (Jordan Crawford, 2011 1st rounder) but at the end of the day you have to take that deal if you're Atlanta. Hinrich is a stabilizer in the same mold that Bibby at his best was only Hinrich isn't a complete and utter defensive liability (stating that kindly, for Bibby's case). He plays hard, hits the open jumper, defends well and knows how to win. The Hawks still have work to do but this move definitely makes them better.
