I love going through game threads for a team that blows a lead. This one was great. Page 24 is when the worry begins to set in a little bit. http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=969611&start=345
It looked early on like Jennings was going to walk off with ROY. But I really think Evans is emerging as the better all around player.
If this happened to the Rockets, no doubt DaDakota would lead an army of Tracy bashers and pillage Tracy's house. Regardless of the fact that Tracy would still be injured playing about 8 minutes a game...
Major lols@the Kings. Go to kings.com and they made a whole dramatic movie of the game, they set up their whole intro page for it and everything. All because the Bulls slipped and they tried a little harder. The Bulls were resting for a back-to-back and the King's next game was 2 days later on Wednesday. Kings also played the Bucks on Saturday while the Bulls played the Hawks into overtime.
nothing short of amazing and it's fine that the marketing department runs with this... kind of like "13 in 33" or 22 straight. the Rockets milked it for all it was worth. these Kings are pushing the Thunder out of the Cinderella spotlight, Evans is singlehandedly turning Brandon Jennings into an afterthought, and Paul Westphal is giving Adelman a run for his money for Coach of the Year.
They only played 7 players that game. Rose, Noah, Deng and Salmons all played 40 mins... wouldn't necessarily call that 'resting'
Congrats to my man Udrih for proving all wrong! And Martin is the last guy I would want on our team..
You wouldn't go all out to beat the Kings who you are up by 35 on, especially if you have to play the Knicks the next day (Lol). Hell, I wouldn't work at it if I had a game the next week.
The players on the court basically benched themselves by resting on the court, since the coach wouldnt take them out. Was Del Negro thinking of trying to run up the score or something by leaving them in? Or all starters today-bench tomorrow? Even if the Bulls won with the same rotation, they'd just be worn down anyways playing the next day against a fast paced team. Even young players need to keep fresh.
The Bulls responded well to that meltdown. They've scored 12 points against the Knicks with a minute gone in the 2nd quarter.
I seen on espn yesterday that this wasnt the biggest comeback ever, the Jazz had a 36 point comeback a while back.
Yea, a couple of internet sources said 35 was the biggest but Elias confirmed it was 36 however it is the biggest 2nd half comeback of all time. The Bulls are a joke and certainly looks like they have mailed it in...they are down 53-31 to the Knicks at the half and since the 8:11 mark in the 3rd qtr its been 110-49!!!
