For all the talk about how this Rockets team can't go anywhere, how about the Kings right now? If they lose to the Wolves, is this team going to stay together? The problem is, I don't see how one can improve on this team through a trade. They are pretty much set at every position, and has a decent bench. They just need to play some mediocre defense to win it all.
i honestly think the moment webber suited up this year is when their season went into the toilet. forget all those 'without webber they wouldn't be where they are' talk. that was the webber before his injury. now, he can't move as fluidly as he did before. and when they had Bmiller in their lineup, it was a good combination of finesse (the shooting) and grit (from Divac and Miller). i agree with you that the Kings have basically reached their ceiling...there's no way to improve on their team other than playing some D...which is something they just don't do enough of.
YoYo this is a trivial question, but on the reach in, are you certan it was Christie, on that Garnett shot? Because to the best of my recollection I honestly thought that Peja was the one who reached in and possibly fouled Garnett.
KG already has 18 rebs in the 9:33 mark of 4th quarter, can he break his career high record? Though I support Wolves, I hope Kings can win this game so that this series can morely likely extend to Game 7.
So how garbage is MIchael olowokandi? I always have hopes for him, thinking he can be good.. but he can't keep his starting position over the other ervin johnson... He can't even get off the friggin bench now over mark madsen. I like Madsen's spirit and hustle.. but if he can grab 13 boards... there is no way in world that olowokandi with his 7'2'' frame can't get some too. If dude can't play well with all his talents with spree.. kg and cassell.. he is garbage. I am glad the wolves win.. I think they are going to the western conference final this year.. and face the SPURs.. yup.. the spurs would come back and beat the lakers in 7. Because Tim duncan would be the difference maker. and I don't think lakers can beat the spurs 4 times in a row.
T'Wolves 3 - Kings 2 I think the boys from 'Sota can win one outta two easily. And now the Spurs must win 2 in a row... Either way, Malone must not get to the finals!!!
Agreed. Now I know what Bill Walton was talking about everytime he blasted Kandi. Kandi is terrible. Beyond terrible. He looks slow and uncordinated. Johonson and Madsen are getting all of his minutes. Even Gary Trent too. Unless the Wolves meet the Lakers in the next round I doubt you will see Kandi again in the playoffs. He is stealing money on the bench over there!
No they didn't. They had game 7 on their home court and except for Bibby and a lesser degree Webber they wilted on wide open shots (Peja, Hedu, especially Chrisite) like a bunch of panzies. I agree with the 2nd point and 3rd point, in fact I thought they would win the title last year before Webber went down. But I have no liove lost if Sac never wings anything. I routed hard for them 2 years ago versus a very susceptible Laker team and they failed to deliver. It is their own fault. Finally, I think either the Wolves or Kings (if they are playing well enough to win the next two they have a shot) have a shot at the Lakers. Minny was #4 in OFG (really pretty close to the #1 spurs) and tied for #1 in FG and had the biggest gap in FG-OFG. They are a formibidle bunch. The Kings only have a chance (to win 2 versus Minny and then the Lakers) if they step up the D. They are capable, as the last couple of years they were much better than average defensively.
How about Rodney Buford? He was the all-time scoring leader at Creighton. He scored 40 against Bradley in the NCAA Tournament in 2000. Songaila is solid also, the Kings are loaded.
Minnesotta and Flip wimped out today. I can't believe they didn't put Madsen and deep bench guys just to get physical and make the Kings hurt after Peeler's bush league plays against his former team. I'd taken Cassell and KG out with 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and pounded the hell out of the Queens (run the offense through Spree and put all hustle players in). If by some chance they got close then reinsert those guys in the 4th quarter, if not, at least you have your guys rested and the Queen's hurting going into game 7. Didn't like Minnesotta's effort or strategy one bit.
yes they did. that series should never, ever have even gone to game 7. they had a chance to take it back, and they didnt, but the point was that if the refs hadnt taken away game 6 theyd have a title by now.
Uh, KJ took a shot by Peeler the play before, than KG the next series forarms Peeler in the chest, then Peeler throws his elbow into KG's face. Peeler took the first shot and the most series shot, the 3rd one, KG's was in between. I would have taken Cassell and KG out (who the Kings are trying to physically pound) sicked the Wolves on the Sac team. Try to change the rythum of the game, at worst make them hurt tomarrow and be weaker for game 7 while Cassell and KG are resting.
I don't know where you got this impression. If you watched the game on TV, you know what you said is wrong. If you didn't watch the game, how did you come up with "KG took the first shot"? What KG did was wrong, but considered OK in physical games like this. What Peeler did was making a BB game a hocky game.
I did, in fact, watch the game, and I know no such thing. I don't absolve Peeler, though; I agree that what he did was wrong as well, and that he deserves a suspension.
He did not get a free pass either. They must have called a flagrant, because Sac got 2 shots and the ball whereas Minn got 1 shot and lost possession. As far as the impact on the game, KG's penalty was far greater than Peeler's. We will have to see if Peeler gets suspended. No way KG does because his blow was in game action and in the chest, Peeler's last was at KG's head which generally gets you suspended if they view it like a punch. Either neither gets suspended for game 7 or only Peeler does, we will see.
