Garnett would have felt horrible if they lost, after pulling a Pippen and falling down. Sprewell's running around like they won the damn championship. Good game though.
That may have been the best game of the playoffs (except for game 3 of the Rockets series). Simply incredible. What a series this is turning out to be.
Terrible non call on the Peja would be game winner, at least I'm glad to see Garnett prove himself as the "MVP", ha ha.
Peja took an off balanced wild 3 pointer that was blocked. Only way refs were goin to call a foul if there was obvious contact to the shooting arm and there was none, only some body contact which was probably created by peja sticking out his leg. That shot was a horrible one, trying to create contact leads to an offbalance shot, peja should have tried to put it in the hole instead draw contract.
Garnett was hacked on the arm on his last shot in OT that went in to give the lead to the wolves for good and as someone said before Peja was not fouled on that last play at all, Hassell played him great and any contact was forced by peja not hassell and the with the ball being deflected as he was trying to go up for the shot it made it easier for the refs to make the call. As sloppy as it got the refs did a decent job in the 4th and OT, i thought garnett was pushed but after the reply it was a travel, the only blown call was the christie hack but judging from the positions of the refs and the way KG was crowded it was hard to see cant blame them for that
The Refs were out for Sam! Sam will be GUNNING next game, the refs just unknowingly lit the fire of the heart of a champion!
Karma came back to the Kings, didn't the Kings foul Nash or Dirk in one game in their series on a last second play?
Too much contact to not call a foul, regardless of how it happened. I saw the Garnett play and I didn't see a foul, I think you're referring to the Peja clean reach in and he ended up getting lucky on that shot. Blaming Peja for missing all those free throws, although he hit all those 3 pointers and was the team down the stretch. Regardless of free throws, he would have hit the last 2 which the Refs blew that would have one the game.
They also blew the call on the missed free throw by Peja, the ball was off of Garnett and it was GIVEN to the Timber-Wolves.
Yep. THE last play of the series. So it's 2-1 'Sota going back to T-Wolves home court. Go E.T. win one for the gipper.... err, something.
I dont remember the missed free throw part personally, but in the garnett play right before he goes up with the shot christie hacks him right on his forearm as he is completing the spin to elevated, webber then comes from the side to block the shot but cant (no contact from webber though) but you can tell KG never really had full control of the ball because of the hack by christie i just dont think it was called because there was a crowd around garnett and the refs probably couldnt see it. As for pejas shot all my friends are kings fans said the same thing they didnt need a three should have drove the hole and peja tried to initiate all the contact by kickin his legs out acting like there was a lot of contact and from all the replays shown of it hassell did get lucky in some ways cuz it seemed his elbow hit the ball on the way up and thats what caused peja to lose full control and then hassell just jumped straight up did not try to lean into the player. Refs have the tendency to not call fouls if the defensive player just jumps straight up into the air and its the offensive that tries to make all the contacts, esp on jump shots. If he drove the ball then its a different story, a foul is more likely to be called but not on a jumpshot.
