If you are a Sac fan, you have to love Landry taking care of the Demarcus Cousins situation tonight. The dude is a class act. A true veteran.
Out for the rest of the season -- tough stretch for Landry. http://www.nba.com/2014/news/03/08/kings-landry.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpts
I've gotten the impression that players that have proven themselves to be valuable contributors to .500 or better teams (Landry, Hayes, Patterson) go to Sacramento and "suck", while people that suck (Rudy Gay) play well there.
It's the lack of direction and a fundamental system or philosophy. They've lost their way after Adelman left.
role players (landry, hayes, ppat) without clearly defined roles (in sac) will not play well. when on winning teams with clearly defined rolls they will excel. high usage players (gay) when confined to a team trying to play efficiently (grizz, raps) will not look so good. when on a team that allows them to do whatever they want, they will put up very nice numbers, but wont actually amount to any wins.
