the Mavs are 30 of 44 from the field including 10 of 13 from 3 pt land

yeah. did you? we were 5th in the league in opponents fg% and very high in rebounding and ppg allowed. we must've played decent D.

and what's with all the roll-eyes at the score? y'all don't like high scoring games? i thought it was halftime  . i thought it was the 4th:rolleyes: . what's that. i'm thrilled it's only the 2nd, this is awesome to watch. i hope there are 5 more just like it in terms of scoring.

Oh I forgot about stats. How can I forget such a pillar of truth such as stats. Damned be all the times an opposing PG blew by my all star PG to get my big guy in trouble. Thank goodness for stats or else I'd be pissed we didn't make the playoffs.

This game and series are amazing. This is what basketball should be played like. The style that they have been playing the last 10 years is not very exciting. This series is a throwback to the 80's where scoring 100 was the norm and not a big game. I look forward to this series every year. Damn, 61 is a great half and they are down by 22.

blowing by the pg had much more to do with pnr defense than simply getting blown by on the perimeter. oh and exactly how many times did our big men foul out, and what is that number relative to the rest of the league. i bet you'd be surprised that it's not that bad if we looked it up.

yes. and combined with their great offense, they got the 2nd best record in the league even with tons of injuries. our problem was not defense, it was the inability to score, whatever the reason (poor shooting, mistakes, poor system, etc). our D was not that poor, or if it was, then i guess 24 other teams in the league played absolutely horrendous D. for bad D, check memphis, chicago, lac (at least in their games against us).

and man this game has been badass. nick the quick just going crazy. hopefully dallas doesn't hit 19+ 3's to knock us out of 2nd place on the playoff list (behind seattle's 20 against us). cwebb best come back, if they move on and lal moves on, he will be needed sorely. well he's limped back to the bench now so that's good.

Please don't try to make excuses for Steve's no defense, he put no effort in to keep his man in front of him or even raise a hand when they shoot.

It would amaze people how good defensively we could be if SF actually had made an effort to keep his man in front of him on a consistant basis.

I agree codell, the other 4 defenders are constantly having to help and try to stop his player aswell as their own.

    Watch the replay.

As he puts pressure on it for the alley-oop, he just drops and his leg starts to flop (left leg).

I'm sure they popped it back in.

He's had problems with his shoulder (twice dislocated it).
