McHale was right all along that the players needed to play harder. His problem was that he could not get them to play harder. Maybe nobody could, and McHale was just a scapegoat.

Byron Scott is bad but he's better than Bickerstaff.

Don't even write that....don't even make the suggestion....it gets me too excited for the possibility, it....I....oh, no........

    SPLOOGE

    Damn....this never happened before....

As far as McHale? Great choice, Kings. Go get him.

    "What's the plan, Coach?"

"Get it to DeMarcus. DeMarcus, you score!"

"What about the rest of us, Coach?"

"Just get out of his way. Clear out! All right? Ready? On three.........one, two, DeMARCUS! I mean, TEAM!"

All of this Walton love is too much. Guy sits in a chair with the best regular season team of all time, and now he's a top tier coach.

The thing is culture. And culture matters, and matters more than most people think. Does it matter more than players? No. Of course not.

BUT... but, but, but... it definitely matters.

McHale had a LOT of time to institute culture. Multiple seasons. And he did institute culture... his. Which was never ever ever conducive to being highly prepared.

The only person celebrating this is JBB. He'll still have a job as milk hairs robin and by no means am I implying milk hair is batman.

If the players are out of shape it's his job to get them in shape. This man ran a relaxed training camp with no discipline at all. It was painfully obvious watching preseason games.

Mchale was a horrible x's & o's guy and overrated coach. People see how bad JB is but forget how bad Mchale was. The only thing good about Mchale is he's likable. Nothing else

I don't like McHale as a coach, but as a fit for the Kings... to be honest, he could help the Kings. If he gets Cousins' respect - a task that's looking more impossible with every fired coach - he could really use his pedigree as a big man and multiple championships as a player to convince Cousins to buy in.

But it's also dependent on whether he's now more aware of his weaknesses and hires better people around him than he did previously.

McHale to the Kings would be good. Would be a good landing spot for Corey Brewer. Last offseason the Kings were the team that were chasing Brewer the most. So having McHale there certainly would help rekindle that interest.

I agree, last chance with Boogie too i guess, if he can't workout with McHale well, he's a lost case for them.

The good thing for us here, is that we'll have a good trade partner for Brewer.

Welp...I guess it's time for Boogie to publicly demand a trade now.
