Uh, dude, two legitimate doctors told T-Mac that his knee was healed and that he should strengthen it by playing himself into shape. Where does Solomon get off contradicting that advice? Not only does he not have a medical degree but he hasn't examined T-Mac's knee.

Bottom line: there is no injury.

Because a paper cut is the same as 11 years of wear from the NBA and rehab from a knee injury. Sure he was lazy about rehabilitating but let's be reasonable, that does not change the fact that he still feels pain. The guy has never been a quitter either, a guy who does not care would not cry the way that he did after the Utah playoff losses, and a guy who does not care would not be out there hobbling, giving it the best that he has, which admittedly is not much right now. You didn't feel this way when he got a triple-double earlier right? Did he not care then?

    Three doctors actually.

    1. The Rockets team doctor
    2. The doctor in Phoenix
    3. Dr. Tom Andrews in Alabama

All said he should play, and strengthen the muscles....

what if as a reader I have never read a single blog by the writer and I happen to agree with his opinion?

take out all the bias, all the history, and you have a critical, yet logical approach to the T-Mac situation.

just like with Yao Ming, dividing Rocket fans based on their opinions of their teams' players, it's a terrible way to root for your team.

I just want to see T-Mac succeed here, on the 2008-2009 Rockets, so that the rest of the team responds in the same way we have for the last three seasons.

the bottom line of the article is we as fans are not in the position to diagnose a man's recovery from afar.

this is not about heart, effort, or mental condition.

i just hope he heals, stops moping and making excuses, and produces on a consistent basis for the next 40 some odd games...

but the 2 knee surgeons who examined Mcgady is qualified to give advice. In fact one of them is probably the best knee surgeon in the country if not the world and paid by Mcgrady. He said Mcgrady is healed and that was 2 months ago. Now Mcgrady must be super dooper healed.

This reminds me of the guy who marries a woman who's gone through 2 divorces in 7 years and then wakes up one morning pissed about her and it never occurred to him that she is who she is.

Really, I don't see TMac any different than the day he signed.
He isn't Kobe and he's far from the heart of a KG or Dream.

He has coasted in the past, he's never been the leader or the best example.

He came here and started strong like he always does, he did get injured, he has lost some of his crazy athleticism... he has had personal life changes and problems.

He loves Houston, is far better suited for the JVG 1/2 court offense than the RA move and share offense...

He is what he is and that is what he has always been except he is older and not a young phenom anymore.

JVG maximized TMac's talent but there never was a leader on the team and enough talent around the team to get past the first round.

TMac came here and blended very well with Yao this team had great chemistry.

Right now it is either RA and Morey have to repair the 'team' , the 'chemistry' and get the team healthy.

If TMac is not 100% his ego is probably his biggest enemy- I really think truth be told he can't stand not being able to be 'TMac'

And he can't be TMac unless the offense is tailored to him and he is healthy.

Trade him, we aren't going back to the inside out game with TMac and Yao- surrounded by shooters. That isn't happening.

Trade him because we are trying to make him adjust to something when he doesn't feel right and we are putting the pressure of him carrying us through the playoffs on it also.

    TMac quit!!!!!

Fine... under the circumstances I'm not surprised.

If and when he gets healthy he probably has 1-2 really great years left.

Let him take it out on us after the trade. :)

My response I posted for somebody else who misunderstood the line from the article has nothing to do with what your saying. Nowhere did Solomon or I say anything about him not being hurt. Solomon was saying that he is not a doctor and he didn't contradict anybody's advice. He was saying that its amazing to him that people act like they are qualified to give advice and that they act like they can sense somebody elses pain. Please read and comprehend.

    BTW- after we trade him...

I'm definately going to the game where we all boo him like crazy as he drops 52 pts. on us. ;)

My advice to Queen Sheba is to learn how to write coherently.

This is simply not true. Tmac thinks it is better suited for him because it is all he knows, but if he committed to running the offense, he would find himself getting a lot easier selection of shots, and the game would come more easily to him, and he would not have to work so hard with the ball in his hands.

Tmac can play the offense, it suits him fine, he has thus far, CHOSEN, not to.

What would it matter? You probably still wouldn't be able to comprehend it.

That was the point of the joke!!! If it was coherent you still wouldn't get it. This ties back into the whole comprehension thing. Thanks for proving my point.

Oh and p.s. you don't have to sign a gay little DD evertime you post we can see in big bold letters what your name is.

I would explain it to you but you would not be able to comprehend it.

Good luck with your blog though.........but I would listen to Hayes, she is pretty savvy about those kinds of things, if she is saying something concerning your writing etc, you would do well to listen.

no, what don't see is there are enough, "teams are always right, player should do what they're told" columinsts, so what you think you see is being contrary is really just a different perspective.

Thanks for saying the same thing I just said to you. Very original!

I don't have a blog either. So I don't know if your smoking something or just a little slow. I never disagreed with anything Hayes said I just said "How do you know its not his opinion"which Hayes said "It might be". This all ties into the comprehension thing.......aww nevermind.

Have fun signing your gay little initials like your important.

So this time when everyone disagrees with the player Solomon agrees with him.

Playing devil's advocate for no other reason than to get clicks isn't worth it

I'll repeat this because apparently you missed my point, solomon usually sides with players, so he is being consistent, which usually opposite of most columnists who do nothing but criticize players because they hold them to ridiculous standards because they are well paid.
