LeBron represents the ghetto hip-hop mentality much more than Kobe so I can see how more kids would be wearing his jersey than Kobe.

The most surprising imo is Rondo! He doesn't have too much nation wide popularity.

I think Kobe's "rape case" was far more damaging than LeBron's hour long ego fest.

One guy looked like a self-absorbed person while the other looked like a criminal.

Who was really portrayed as the villain?

No one had a Heats jersey before because their fans didn't exist. Now they are on the band wagon buying a jersey.

Everyone already has a Kobe jersey.

They don't have to wear it, they can burn it too.

In any sport bandwagon/casual fans >>>>>>>>> regular NBA fans in numbers. and Casual/bandwagon fans typically sports hyped up players jerseys like Kobe and Lebron because they don't know any other players.

The same goes for people that wears Yankee hats, how many of those actually watch Yankees and are knowledgable caseball fans.

Did the OP mean to make this into a Kobe bashing thread or a LeBron lovefest thread? I'm all kinds of confused because the thread title and news article link has no bearing whatsoever on who the better player (or who the "bigger villain" is for that matter) is in the NBA.

It's ridiculous that people are buying his jerseys.
It's even MORE ridiculous that people are wasting money to burn his jerseys. Geez, you people are stupid.
