Kinda like what I usually read into the word "street ball" or playground". Plus since he said "we" play like we're from the suburbs, I assume you think that Webber thinks he's black.

I could see the Lakers sending Odom for Peja and change. Not a bad deal for either team.

That would be interesting. Peja can play Robin to Kobe's Batman.

I think Odom can be a better version of Pippen, and Kobe is Jordan lite. I think they are a better fit together in the Batman and Robin analogy. Odom does the dirty work, setting up the offense, rebounding, defending, and Kobe gets to shoot.

Besides, if Peja was on the team, I could see Kobe asking Phil after 20 games, "Who is this guy and why is he getting so many of my shots?"

Well he can ask Phil until he's blue in the face, it's not like he can do anything about it.

To me the idea of C-Webb and Hu - bie is antithetical.

Ideal for the Logo? I'd think Boozer or Brand, someone like that. Maybe even Kurt Thomas?

Remember when we were praying for Webber to sign with the Rockets? Remember when we were praying for McDyess?

    Horry and Bullard for Elliott?

I swear, 50 percent of the time you turn out to be damned lucky you didn't get what you wanted. Imagine Eddie Griffin being snapped up at #6.

I was thinking Rudy when I typed that. I guess I can't get it in my head that he is the coach of L.A. now.

Hm, a shot at a ring, meaning we're in the playoffs, yes. no doubt about it. But, as I recall, the Mavs, Kings, Blazers, Knicks have yet to get anywhere with those payrolls as an attempt for a ring.
Instead they've been defeated constantly in post season play, and Knicks aside, never tasting a single NBA Final for one reason or another.

Here's a novel idea.. I say instead of following a formula that's failed to ever win a ring. We go ahead and follow the formula that leads to actual championships and shows us to be consistent for the past decade or so. Two superstars, and compitetent role players that know their role.
