That was FIRST Knight. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113071/combined Gere was Lancelot, who was OK in the role, but Sean Connery was way TOO old to play the cheated-on King Arthur. The legend doesn't say he was OLD. Anyway, I agree with UTweezler I might still sneak in to see this flick because I thought it was Natalie Portman as GUINEVERE... she looks HOT in that sex scene in the previews getting done by Lancelot Doesn't she resemble NATALIE PORTMAN a bit? Maybe a little like Wynona Rider...
I wasn't going to see this movie at all because things like Guenivere being a warrior and all, but then I read a piece about the history this film uses. Apparently the mythical legend takes place in the time of knights, chivalry and all of that. Part of what those legends were based on comes from the time when the Romans were being driven from England. Gwenivere was Pict leader, and therefore could have been a warrior type. Arthur was half-Roman, and thus the Roman garb he wears. After hearing that there was some basis for making the movie like this, I felt a little more inclined to see it.
Eric Bana is his name, I think. And yes...he was awesome in that movie. In a realy fight, he'd probably kick Brad Pitt's butt.
Eric Bana was typecast into a role that suited him perfectly. I don't know about the fight, Brad Pitt was pretty jacked I remember. The whole thing about Patroclus (sp) being a cousin instead of a lover made Achilles more relate-to-able for the modern audience. I like that adaptation actually.
That's right, didn't Keira play Amadala/Natalie's double in Ep I? I think I've found my new fantasy threesome...
actually... i heard about that, it was either on Conan or Ebert and Roeper. interesting that he's had these serious roles. but in any case, bruce banner and hector are like the same guy.
