Well, outside of TMac and Yao, think about how most of the key new guys must feel being traded to a team with 2 young All-Stars and a spanking new arena. I mean, Wesley and Sura were pulled out of the twilight of their careers in no-hope teams and Mutumbo gets to play big minutes and be a key bench guy.

Even TMac got out of a situation he desperately didn't want to be in, so he traded up. I guess JHoward's involvement in the trade was a wash for him, and it really was mainly Yao who probably was left with lots of apprehensions seeing his entire original team being traded away.

Oh yeah, there's Mo... but he just never improved.

Come on man, wish the team were younger? That's the whole freakin point, old school dudes get over the ego trippin stevie, kobe and the other young punks let standin the way of winning. We have two long term young super studs, you keep sticking the lastest round of veterans who want win into the mix, viola ! instant playoff teams with a chance..... Remember, ( well maybe you're too young ), how it seemed everybody and their brother was dying to get to houston to play for Rudy ? For less money ? Tells ya something.. JVG is seen as that kinda coach developing that kind of atmosphere ....finally...

I also think that hopefully we get some younger guys in here - just to learn from these vets how to approach the game.

Also, on Tmac v. Francis et al - I noticed that Tmac is really getting into the community (taking batting practice with Clements, moving here full time) that is good to see

I know Yao liked the younger guys (at least according to Sina  ++ ) since they were boyz

... but I doubt Yao was really "rollin'" with Cat over to Treasures or kicking with Cato at the Men's Club

I really want to see a story now about who got the better end of the trade. Hehe :) At the end of the day, it might turn out to be one of the most lopsided trades in NBA history.

I can't believe I ever dissed this team. I love this team. I love T-Mac. I love Yao. I love Sura. I love Van Gundy. I love Wesley and Barry and Padgett and Deke and Colin Pine. I want to have all their babies RIGHT NOW.

Thats been the Obvious Sideeffect of our Solid form Thus far. when people like eachother they will bend over backwards for eachother. in the Athelets cases, they wil play for one another. great signs that finally this team has gelled.

    LOL @ Will..

and I would love to see that! ummm.. yeah that sounded kind of weird but oh well. hehe =P

After the trade the biggest thing we noticed was a lack of chemistry. I remember tons of posts discussing the fact that once we developed some chemistry we would be a tough team.

Its too bad it took so long to develop because if we played like this at the start of the season we would be a top 3 team.

IMO we are #6 seed right now starting off under .500 and *BAM now we are #6.. if we started off the season this hot we could have been a top 3 team dont you think?

I dont think even on top of our game were as good as the Spurs or the Suns. that leaves Seattle, kings and Dallas. i think a healthy kings team can beat us over a 7 game series, but i feel more confident with seattle and Dallas. hence i believe 4th Sed was'nt a stretch.

This seems like the first time we've had real offensive chemistry in a long time. Last year, we were pretty ugly offensively throughout the entire season. We won games basically only with defense. This year has been a joy to watch in comparison.
