Wow, that was worse than I thought - I thought at least Kimbo somehow dominated him on the ground but even an out of shape, washed up, terminally ill (not kidding) adn utterly uninterested Mercer was able to reversal Kimbo and gain top position, of course then he got choked out, lol.
Lord, I just watched that Kimbo/Mercer fight... it's crap like that that gives MMA a bad name. lol. Mercer looked like a 300 pound blob out there. Damn. I like how he tapped and then threatened to throw a punch at Kimbo. WTH?
well havent seen his mma fights but to his credit, george used his hands 90% of the time so he kept it to the street brawler level (no submission, very seldom knees and kicks just more boxing technique)
Well, don't get me wrong, he's not in the elite category of fighters or anything, but he's no pushover. Of course I watched this vid a while back and remember "Ray" trying to land multiple spinning backfists on Masvidal. I mean dang, it seemed like he tried throwing at least 4 or 5 of them. Who does he think he is? Shonie Carter??
ray had a GUILE moment from street fighter with that move, my point is technique (boxing) will most likely beat street brawlers if no weapons are used. I've been in plenty of fights in clubs, bars, house parties and hold my own since i trained in boxing before.

Kimbo had the choke and rolled Mercer over so he could get his hooks in. Mercer didn't gain top position. This is what I do to everyone that rolls on the mat for the first time regardless of big they are. That and choke people with their own arm when I get side control.
If they would allow grabbing and mounting, ray would've been done for a lot earlier. But it was a pretty good fight, so you gotta give it to both of them. Of course in all these backyard fights, I always have to wonder what the neighbors are thinking... but then I come the realization, that may be the neighbors being spectators in the video. lol.
