I think Mercer will knock the guy out shortly after it starts.

Being a professional boxer requires much more discipline. This is unlike anyone that Kimbo has ever had to deal with.

 

Well I remember in the "Kimbo vs. UFC No-name" video that Kimbo got gassed really easily. I'd have to assume this boxer will rope-a-dope him pretty quickly.

 

He won't even need to. He knows what the fans want and he is capable of giving it.

I think this would be cool to see live.

And...instead of boxing Mercer (who's an ex-BOXER) he uses MMA?

If he wants to street-box, then he should street box with other street boxers. If he wants to do MMA, he should do MMA with other MMA fighters.

But building a rep as a street boxer and then getting and old boxer into a ring and then using MMA on him?

Not cool.

If he's gonna do MMA, he should get in the ring with Rampage and Kimbo would learn what it's like to get his ass kicked in a MMA fight.

Rutten is the best trainer in the world and would have been a much better fighter had it not been for this one King of Pancrase loss to a young, very mean, pre UFC Ken Shamrock:
