And another thing: It puts the Rox in contention for the honor of oldest NBA team -- EVER.

I like the trade just fine. However I dont feel like it been quit enough. I would have rather seen one of our PFs moved. but some movement is nice to see.

It's just a salary move. Barry makes 100K less than Lue. ;) Both are just signed through this year.

Over the 3 seasons prior to this one, Barry has shot a blistering .425 from behind the arc, on an average of over 200 attempts per season. Very good numbers indeed.

I think he is capable of knocking down wide open treys, and that
s what we needed. The only thing is he is 35 and how many minutes he will be playing and he is a good player on D but again you gotta concern his age.

I like this trade. Jon Barry is rugged player that this team needs desperately.

Think it would have been a lot better given more consistant minutes...he has always been an off the bench guy and sometimes doesn't even play....

We are bringing him to do what the Polish Rifle couldn't so hopefully this guy will.

And he's going to get wide open looks. But you know how Pike went under JVG's system. So to early to tell right now.

    Good news at last.

If I remember correctly, JB can ran the break and finish.

He's no savior though, we need a 4. Instead of doubling from point, all doubles will come from 4 now.

Yeah of course. I have to throw in that i think that Pike having that injury slowed him down and caused him to have an off season. We really need that guy to hit the open look and hopefully Barry will.

I really think Boki was actually doing a nice job of hitting the open three this year but of course under JVG nothing is stable or considered good enough. Not even 49 percent from beyond the arc in Boki's Case.

we are consistant in our trades and player aquisitions though....i think JVG wants to make sure no one gets close to our players age average. At least we lead something in the league.

One thing that is always goign to bother me at least more this year than any other. Is the fact that we have all older players and we don't seem to be going anywhere this year. What's going to happen next year when they are even OLDER? Instead of devloping young talen to be on our team for the future we keep getting older guys that will eventually just leave in the next year or so.

You can't keep retooling your team each year with older players that will only be here for 1 year and never have any team chemistry year in and year out.

This team really didnt do justice to Boki. Boki is mistake prone, especially on the defensive end. But considering he is from another culture and he has upside in him, we really should've use Boki a little bit more than garbage time. Sigh. Boki could be much better than Jon Barry.

We also lead the league in open shots missed, and open shots passed up, and losing to the bobcats.

This is very true. He is unfortunatly unlucky do to the system and the coach that we got. He will make it somewhere and i am afraid it won't be here. He has the game to make a team somewhere in this league and actually step and do the things we saw him do (slash and shoot)

My prediction is that if he doesn't get offered a contract by the Rockets, the Suns will quickly pick him up because D'Antoni loves the guy and always said he loves his game. In their system of running and gunning he will flourish.

I should save this post until next year and see what happens.
