    Just to confirm this.

According to KILT 610's Matt Jackson, the Rockets have traded Tyron Lue to Atlanta for Jon Barry.

No links yet as it was only reported during a 610 update.

    i love this!!!

i never liked Lue he has no handles no sense in offense or awareness in either direction. and most of all he can't hit the open j.

Great. Now all our problems are solved... just like when we got Piatkowski.

One step to the right direction. Guess lot of guys here are just fed up with Lue. Maybe we should start with Ward as our next target? or stick with PF or Yao?;)

This is one step in the right direction. At least he will bring some energy to the court. JVG has gotta to be happy.

    I'm happy.

Now to make things better we need to get rid of one/two of these excess power forwards.

    Then I'll be really happy.

A little bit of Barry's profiles for you guys who wanna know.

    6'5" Guard

This year he is averaging 17.2 Minutes a game for the Hawks this year.

    Averaging 5 points a game.

He has never really averaged more than 20 minutes a game in a season. But does bring some knowledge of the game (thank god)

Great trade. Lue was worthless on this team. We had a log jam at PG anyway. This gives BARRETT a chance at PG as well.

As for Barry. Gives us at least a guy that can SHOOT which is something we really needed. He is a smart player to boot.

Not an "earth shattering" move, but I would say this is a move to get a player that fits the team better. And at this point with the limited assets that we have these are the kinds of moves we can make.

WOW thats great. And at his age he will last till... ummm... hmmm... the end of the seaon. [sarsasm]

Before I get flamed I would like to add that I know that JBarry is much better than Lue and I do like the fact that player movements are happening.

    RIPPLE!!!

    Wrong Barry, CD

Well, this is an upgrade from Lue, but not much of one. I can't see how a lifetime benchwarmer is going to have much impact. As for his vaunted shooting abilities, he's got a career 3PT% of under .400.

The best thing this trade will do is hopefully create some playing time for AB, if JVG ever gets his head out of his a$$ and puts him back on the active roster.

With the offense we have setup (or lack there off) bye JVG he needs a shooter to hit the open J. Barry can do it and i hope he won't be a player that ends up like Piatkowski who couldn't nail a shot and had to be shipped off as well.

Overall it's an upgrade from what we had even though he is much older.
