Killen's BBQ finally open!

Heard he and bryan Caldwell are gonna open up a bbq place on the museum district

 

i'd like to know how it compares with some of the austin stallworths like franklins and la bbq

Im sure its amazing...I went to the steakhouse a couple months ago and it was perfection.

 

I need to check it out, Bima told me about this place since I live close by but never heard of it, and said it was amazing

I went to one of the pop ups before the restaurant opened. Can't compare to Franklin's, but everything is great. The beef rib is the best item on the menu IMO.

Not much for sauce either so I can't comment on that.

People get so personal when it comes to BBQ, it's just food you nerds.

 

The talent at the inner-loop Applebees and Walmarts are off the charts, I'm sure!

 

It's about 6 miles from my house but we saw the line on Saturday and just went to the flea market instead(best pork rinds in town). Will wait for the buzz to calm down.

 

I haven't been to Walmart in 4 years but I imagine the one inside the loop does probably have some decent looking clientele compared to the others. Applebees I've never heard of before.

 

I don't think BBQ places in general are known for having fit, attractive people. Not sure what BBQ joints you're used to?
