By the way, that should read that I remember renting and watching Reservoir Dogs in mid-1993, rather than 1992.
I still remember my best friend coming back after seeing it at the theatre. It's possible that I've never laughed as hard than I did when my 7' friend did his impression of Madsen's scene when he cut the cops ear off.
I always re-enact the scene from Pulp Fiction where Travolta accidentally shoots Marvin in the face. It's just the face that he makes right before it happens, it's hilarious.
We get the point Nomar, you hate this movie, so why are you still posting here? I hate people trying to tell people what to like and what not to. I saw this movie last night, was great. Seemed like a live-action anime. The funniest part of the movie experience was when Liu died and my friend whispered, "Just a little off the top barber".
You think that if somebody stuck a lump of coal in Nomar's ass crack, we could get a diamond in time for my wedding anniversary in April? Geez, either you like the movie or you don't...
Kill Bill is good. could be better than Pulp Fiction . . but until I see Part II . .. I will hold on this Pulp fiction - his best Jackie brown - *groan* Res. Dogs - I could not get past the N-word fest that it was [over a 100 times it seems] Where the fight seens the best? no could have used a little more vivica fox. . . . .. I mean h*ll O-ren gets this lucious drawn out story line .. . and vivica was out faster than if she was in a horror Movie [I know this is a bit of a spoiler. . . but hell the movie been out for a while now] . . . . .were the credits still rolling. . . i forget Some of the things bother me . . . .. logical inconsistancies [ALOT OF THEM] but I move beyond them and suspend my disbeleif Rocket River I mean . . hell it has David Carradine and Even Darryl Hannah looks HARD
in Jackie Chan's Uncle style ONE MORE THING!!!!! Am I the only one that cannot get that d*mn song that Darryl Hannah whistles in the hospital out of my head!!!1 rocket River
Ok, I finally saw it this weekend. I would say that all of the non-Japanese speakers are really missing out, because my wife and I were laughing our asses off during some of the Japan scenes. The Japanese dialogue was great, but rather poorly subtitled. I watched it one day after watching The Rundown, and you could really tell the difference in the quality of film-making. In Kill Bill, everything in the movie was exactly the way Tarantino wanted it, and it was for a reason. Kill Bill held my interest well and I think it was a good movie, especially the way it combined several genres - American action, yakuza, and anime.
Seriously? Seems like Jimmie says it more than 20 times in his scene alone. Maybe Jackie Brown had a lot? I thought there was some controversey about his use of that word. I recall a lot of criticism from Spike Lee.
Jackie Brown had 30+ and Spike had a fit. Was he mad at Elmore Leonard who wrote the book? Nope. He was mad at QT. BTW, I crack up every time I see the look on Sam's face during the "dead n*gger storage" diatribe.
Did Leonard actually write it that way, though? Yeah, that's easily my favorite scene in Pulp Fiction. From the Jerry Seinfeld lookalike coming out of the bathroom to the Julia Sweeney appearance (ugh, her and Kathy Griffen in that movie...gross), the entire part is hysterical. "Oak's nice"
excellent point, mulder. you can read an early version of Kill Bill here >>>>>>>>>>>>>SPOILERS<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< contains many clues and spoilers, but keep in mind this was QT's original script, before they chopped it into two movies. alot of dialogue, exposition, etc. is cut, but you can see what is to come in Kill Bill volume 2. if volume 1 was more Japan influenced(anime, Hattori Hanzo, the brides trip to okinawa and tokyo, yakuza), watch for volume 2 to be of the Chinese persuasion. we will flash back to when The Bride goes to China for her hand to hand(shaolin kung fu) combat. Gordon Liu, who plays the leader of the Crazy 88, plays another character in Volume 2_ Pai Mei. Pai Mei, as well as Hattori Hanzo(played by Sonny Cheeba) are pre-existing characters from the world of martial arts. the actors are actually reprising their roles from the seventies. anyway, Pai Mei teaches the Bride the "ten point palm exploding heart technique" we will also travel to Austin, Texas, if the film stays true to the original script. The Bride wears a "Stubbs BBQ" hat and orders a "Shiner" at a bar in one scene. in another scene, the bride is buried alive in a cemetary in Austin by Budd(Michael Madsden). hope i didnt ruin it for anyone!!!!!!
most of yuki's lines went to GoGo, her sister. but it looks like Yuki will still come back to avenge her sisters death, we will see in February!
