We dont need Jason "not Clutch" Kidd.

    I would rather have:
    Sam Cassell
    +
Some PF who can Rebound and Block Shots.

It's not that he's not a great PG...it's just that he doesn't fit our offense well. We are not a run and gun team, and we don't need to be paying a guy max money that doesn't fit our team.

Should explain why I say 27...

MJ won his first title at 27....as did...

    Shaq.... and

Tim Duncun real first title in 2003 and....

the average age of the 2005 Detroit pistons? You got it - 27.

In fact the only Superstar to not win their first grind em' out overcome great obstacles to win a championship was Hakeem Olajuwon, who was 31.

In case you are wonder, Isiah Thomas had just turned 29 when he won his first championship, and Larry Bird was 26. Pretty remarkakable...

'New York Today (Daily?)' said Nets are considering getting KG in exchange of Kidd and/or VC and/or Jefferson.

Seems Kidds deal is really not gonna happen. Too bad, he's really a great PG.

Excellent points and I agree whole-heartedly. Kidd would settle us down and take some of the ball-handling + decision making pressure off of Tmac. Not that Tmac isn't excelling in that role but having another player be able to help in the backcourt would be ideal for him. Anyone else remember Sura struggling bringing the ball up during full court pressure? Tmac had to bring the ball up the court when Sura was in the game many times. Kidd is an excellent ball-handler, tough defender, and excellent decision maker when he has the ball. His contract is bloated yes but would you guys mind going over the cap to bring a championship to Houston? I would in 2 wags of Dikembe's finger. Jason Kidd is still a top 2 PG in the league.

    C - Yao Ming
    PF- Donyell Marshall/Stromile Swift/Tyson Chander
    SF - Tracy McGrady
SG - David Wesley/Whoever we may decide to get
    PG - Jason Kidd

We would most likely have to trade Juwan Howard to match the salaries exchanged so our PF spot would be wide open but that wouldn't be a concern whatsoever. Who wouldn't want to come play with Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and Jason Kidd? My main concern would be who we could possibly get at the SG spot because Wesley is not getting it done in my opinion.

When all is said and done how can any real Rocket fan turn down a team that could possibly having a starting lineup consisting of Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and Jason Kidd?

Because he's old, and and when he's 37 he's gonna be older and making 23 million. Couple that with the fact that he's had major knee surgery.

I dont want my rockets to sacrifise the future just to see how far Kidd's gonna get us next year. His carreer is on a declining curve. I want young role players. Not players who've already hit thier apex.
