I want kidd in houston, he would help Yao te be a better player, and score more points and he would take some responsability in the dribbling, and T-Mac can do a natural job of a SG,

He is at good nevel right now, and for 2 or 3 more seasons, and he would a great teacher for the young players.

I do it. Clearly the Rockets have not had an uptempo PG in God knows how long. T-Mac's game will raise another notch if he has a true PG who can handle, pass, and push the tempo, allowing T-Mac to fill in the lanes on the break.

If we were able to sign Kidd, and then add an athletic SG or SF to go along with T-Mac, then we are as good as anyone in the West.

haha that's a good one, but no matter how you look at it, all we are posting here in the offseason are most likely about to be based on the big IFs, without IF life sucks in the offseason.

The reason this is being discussed is that some sports writer brought up the Kidd thing, so people just state their opinions. why do you have to act smart and ruin the fun here, officer, why?

Great, all we need is another player who can't shoot, can't defend and is clearly past his prime.

    I really don't want Kidd because he's old..injured..slower now..not a good shooter.

I want Spanoulis and other young guys who have a future..passing and shooting..defense..quickness

    One athletic swingman

    And one athletic power forward

No Kidd. He is too old, too slow, too expensive. And he can't defend. The only good thing of him is passing.

Why not, he's still one of the top point guards in the NBA.

Please forget about Kidd...He definitely can help this team. But we need youth infusion. And if you look at the Nets roster, they are only a PF away from competing in the east. It just happened that Kidd must overcome some injuries that's why they got booted out of the playoffs

Kidd is not that old. TMac/Yao are not that young.

TMac just turned 26 and Yao will be 25 this year. If 3 years later they still haven't made the champain they may never do (27 is the best age to win the title, right). So if Kidd can stay healthy these 3 years, why is he a bad choice?

Kidd will likely be declining with injury problems. His passing is de-emphasized by T-Mac dominating the ball and his rebounding is de-emphasized by Sura (since CD said Sura was playing hurt in the series, I'm willing to cut him some slack). Other than those things he doesn't bring much else to the table to justify his killer contract. Scoring wise he may even be a liability at times. Most important of all, Les won't break the bank for Kidd. This is a moot point.

Well.. hence his burnout in game 7. Not that it was bad. The greatness of T-mac is that even when he has off nights, he's not too shabby.

But, yes, like others pointed out. As much as he was doing in the playoffs, he wasn't going to last long doing the same against the Suns, Spurs and Heat round after round.

Though it seems to be a moot point. I think a true PG like Kidd might ease half of those responsabilities.

this is the same thing everyone was saying when we got mutumbo......he's too old, he'll be injury prone, he wont be able to last the whole season......and look what he did for us.....the only downfall about jason kidd is his contract, but the guy can still play

Kidd: TMac stop lookin at Joumana.
TMac: I'm not lookin at her. I'm lookin at you.
Kidd: Dude, your eye is pointed right at her body!
TMac: Jay, c'mon. I'm totally lookin at you.
Kidd: Next time I catch you lookin her way, I'm gonna fight you.
TMac: First of all, she's behind you so how do you know what I'm lookin at, and secondly, I'm not lookin at her Jay!

I don't think this will work.

I'll take kidd but only if hes willing to re-work his contract. I mean if he really wants to come here and be w/ a up and coming team he should be willing to do that. I hope so at least!

    ROCKET FANS EVERYWHERE......
IF YOU AREN'T HAPPY ABOUT THE THOUGHT OF HAVING JASON KIDD ON OUR TEAM THEN I WANT SOME OF WHATEVER YOU ARE SMOKING/SNORTING/INJECTING. Look, Name PGs that you would take right NOW (not for 4 years down the line but NOW). Steve Nash-MVP is given. Other than that, it's fair game and Kidd is on the top of the list. Kidd is a team player (You don't get 3ple 2bles like he does and not be). He would lead the league in ASSISTS and points won't matter because T-Mac can take care of that himself. Kidd can be a dangerous shooter (just forget about that shot against MIAMI) and he hustles all game long (look at his Reb stats). Why would you not want a guy who can come in, settle a team down in game 7 when you are facing a 13 point deficit in the early goings of the 3rd quarter when the game is still in the balance? Give Me KIDD. He wants to come HERE. Why wouldn't he? Now I know money is an issue but that is what the Front Office makes their money for. It is their JOB to get deals like this one done. Good Job in getting T-Mac....now get KIDD.

P.S.-----) I don't think having the 2nd best PG, best SG/SF, and 2nd best C could EVER be a bad thing! We WOULD WIN the finals.

Atleast we're not the Knicks where bad contracts go to die.
