nah...bush's ulimate plan was to direct katrina to N.O. and blow up the levees to get out the black invasion. lil' wayne has it right. i am white so was smiling all the way to the bank when me and bush teamed up to destroy NOLA. dividends are rolling into the white bank Of america. us white people are always getting rich like this. meteorological gentrification...it HAS to be true!
The irony of Lil Wayne's lyrics is that he is teaching, informally, a generation of young black youths how NOT to speak, spell, or dress, if they have any hope of valuing education and participating in the work force. No one I know would hire someone who spoke like that on the job, or dressed like a rapper. So he is contributing to a culture that keeps his own people down. Bill Cosby has spoken extensively on this subject.
Funny how the young generation is always misunderstood... Employer's won't hire people who say "dude" or "like" every sentence either. They wouldn't hire people who dress like rockstars, either. If you are letting a musician teach you, you and you're parents are incompetent. You would be amazed at how many of us can be exactly what our company wants us to be. Then we can speak our own slang and dress how we want to later. Hip Hop has its flaws but to blame a rapper for a history of ignorance is inexcuseable. There are more black kids going to college than ever before. The "culture" that keeps these people down is the same one that told them separate was equal. Its as if the entire race can be taught in a span of less than 50 years.
I forgot to add that the person the rapper was discussing isn't very articulate either. nucular weapons
Dubya should definately be permitted to live to a ripe old age and be able to see history judge his Presidency as a dark, dark time for this country.
really?? dumbest? Til the sweat drop down my balls? They are pretty dumb though. not the dumbest, by far
If you're learning how to speak, spell or dress from rap music, you're already a dumbass. Trust me when I say lil wayne is not teaching that many people. This kid probably comes from a family where his parents are not involved for one reason or another. edit: and why does it have to be a generation of young black youth learning from rap? you do know that LOTS of white people listen to rap. why do you think it's so popular?
the point is just as many white ppl listen to rap than black people. im not talkin about whether it's popluar or not
Yeah, it can be easy to pick on goofy Lil Wayne, but with all this talk of who he is or isn't "teaching" and blaming "rap" (black people are rhyming words over beats! oh noes!) for a generation's problems, I wanted to quote some of that "rap" music...for truth.
he has a nice, almost charles manson-esque tatoo, except its a cross, on his forehead in between his eyes now.
The thing on his forehead is the letter 'I' -- one eyelid says 'fear' and the other says 'god'. /just saw it in some music magazine
