His mom had to ask him to say thank you... What is wrong with these ungrateful kids now a days. I was kissing my moms feet after she bought me a Nintendo 64 back in the day.

I would be embarrassed if my kid acted that way. That is reason 954 that I don't have kids. I can always make fun of other people's kids.

But for real, that kid is a little off.

You guys are "off" and weirdo's for calling a 7 or 8 year old kid "off" and "mentally disturbed" for getting really excited about getting a game for his birthday??

I guess he should of played it cool and not let him self get excited...

I'm sure the parents loved his joyous reaction. Better than a "Cool, I guess."

Cut the kid being a kid some slack.

I dont see nothing wrong here, he is really excited for something.

Why is different being really excited about a videogame, when you are that age, when getting really excited your team won a championship?

Maybe you aren't seeing everything us others are seeing: We're making fun of him for his GAAAAYY stroller for his dolls, plastic red dump truck and indescribable and worrisome green friend in the background.

I read in the National Journal of Behavioral Science and Enlightenment that children who begin video game playing before age 12 lose their virginity on average 3.5 years later than those who start playing video games after 12. This should be strong motivation for young boys to not take up such terrible vices which will eventually hurt their self esteem and job prospects in the future. In an another article from the same source it mentioned how early mar1juana use led to young males losing their virginity 2.2 years prior than their peers. These same peers tracked over twenty years (in a retrospective case control study) often became well respected pillars of their community in regards to eventually becoming CEO types, politicians, policemen, plumbers and bakers.

I just watched it now for the first time after reading some of the replies. The kid is definitely a little off- just based on his mannerisms and the way he talked -but I don't think being all excited is unusual for a kid at 7 or however old he is. As one poster said, some of you guys act like you came out of the womb as teenagers.

I don't understand how anyone could get that excited about Minecraft... Even if it is a little kid.

Indeed... I was a very small child when I got my first Nintendo (late, since the Genesis was already out) and I was also a very sensitive child... and I did not shed a single tear, or hyperventilate over a video game system...

I merely gave a big grin, jumped up and down, and shouted twice, "I got a Nintendo! I got a Nintendo!" After that I unpacked it, connected it, promptly started playing it and got on with it...

Something is either wrong with this kid, or he was coached by his parents to react this way for "views"... One or the other...
