Assuming all things are equal except one company has better management, then of course I'll go with the company with better management.

But that's not the point you were making before. Earlier, you said that you had conversations with NFL players, and that their opinions were shared by NBA players. This point is undermined by the fact that in football, management is an integral factor on whether or not you finish out your contract. This is not the case for the NBA.

So let's change your hypothetical scenario. If the company with poor management offered me a guaranteed contract for 10 years and the company w/ good management offered me an unguaranteed contract for 10 years (same dollar value), I'd go with the poorly managed company (assuming that if the company went bankrupt, the remainder of my contract would be built into my severance package).

Really? I would just work my ass off with that good company and make it known that they should guarantee my contract lol.

But that's not within the parameters of the scenario...

More like he has the audacity to say the rockets dissed TMac, when he has been dissing TMac for the last four years.

    LOL!!!!!

My point to you was this... Players talk to one another... A lot more than most people would ever know and not just with their own teammates...

You have basically turn this whole conservation around....

I see you joined in 2008 so was this because of Yao or T-Mac... The way you are talking about T-Mac it has to be Yao...

First off.. You started with this BULL CRAP.... I try to basically give you some knowledge, but I can see your cup is already full... So no sense in me tryign to educate you..

Again, trying to get you to understand that players talk... Basketball, football,, hockey, baseball, etc...

They say things that you know you can't repeat or they will never let you inner circle again. There is a big difference between hearing something from a ball boy or some guy in a office then from the players themselves... As long they can trust you they will talk about certain things in front of you...

Now you may not understand how this works but I know Clutch does.... Basically the same way that Clutch and others can't say some things..

Now I tried to give you a nice simple scenario and you turned that completely around..... So again your cup is already full and there is no room for any more knowledge.

    Lighten up Francis.

It was a joke, nowhere did I wish death on Charles.

And I do know what it's like to have a parent die so shut up when you don't know what you're talking about.

Now go change your tampon, pansy.

The Rockets are being somewhat spiteful....and I love it. What T-Mac pulled last season was pure BS. Double BS if we actually had a trade done to ship him off.

I have a hard time understanding how we disrespect a player that collects 25 million from our pockets without doing anything. You're right, all those people that earn their money have been disrespected.

It is appalling to be honest and on top of the mcgrady has disrespected us numerous times. Charles is just looking for a way to get at the rockets organization when it comes to treating their player with regards to his situation a couple of yrs back.

Agree with everything wekko said btw, repped.

Yeah last year. Why couldn't the organization just be the bigger person in all of this and let the past be the past. This is a new season why are they worrying about last year if they are worried at all

And my point is that while players may talk to another, they may not necessarily sympathize with each other. Do you really think that Kobe feels any sympathy for McGrady? Do you think Lebron sympathizes? Do you even think Yao sympathizes?

I'm sure all the players saw how out of shape McGrady was at the beginning of last season. They also saw that prior to the season, he had arthroscopic (minor) surgery. They also saw that when his name was heavily involved in trade scenarios, he announced season ending surgery.

So yes, I do believe that players talk to each other. I also believe that they don't think the Rockets have mistreated McGrady.

You're actually the one who turned this conversation around by bringing up NFL players which was entirely irrelevant.

I joined in 2008 b/c I didnt find the site until 2008. My knowledge of the Rockets extends beyond the McGrady/Yao era.

Exactly. There's no sense in you trying to educate me. There is never any sense in you trying to educate anyone who is already more knowledgeable than you.

You constructed a scenario that was geared towards your point and was therefore inherently flawed.

Think about it. If what you're saying is true, teams like the Clippers would never have any big FA signings.

First off, if you think Barkley is the only person that thinks T-Mac was treated wrongly.. Then all I can say is ok...

You brought up the Clippers... Most of the Clippers players come from trades and usually the big name get sent to the Clippers from either pissing management off or trying to dump money.

As far the education goes... A person who knows everything know nothing at all....

    wrong,

Barkley has always liked Tmac, he's always dissed the Rockets by saying, "they aren't better without Tracy McGrady" a bunch of times

you should try watching a full episode of Inside the NBA. They also have tons of them archived on nba.com and youtube

Barkley has always sided with the players.

Also, saying that Tmac isn't the greatest player doesn't mean you don't like the guy.

Two thumbs up. I was just about to post this exact statement. I don't blame him for having that viewpoint since he was a player, however there is another side to the coin....the business side and the Rockets are taking care of their own which I think they should. If T-Mac deserved to play for this team, he would be logging 30+ minutes a game. After the crap he pulled last year, he is right where he deserves to be.
