what a freaking tmac-only newb. you tried to put a youtube video with the image brackets?

Also, Game 7 vs Utah? We lost that game, that was horrible, I don't give a rats azz what Tmac did, he didn't do enough.

But again, some people don't care about the Rockets winning, they care about defending Tmac's legacy (which sucks).

That was the Rockets biggest mistake, trading for battier when gay was a fit for the role as a 3rd scorer, (we were the only contender to lack that)

Imo the only reason we traded for him was to rest t-mac on defense where he would have to guard the best player and carry so much of the scoring load.

His legacy sucks, but he didn't get much support in that game. That's why DM gave him another chance. He went on to blow it.

We would of not traded for Battier if Tracy was willing to play defense.

Revisionist garbage. McGrady was an great defender in 04/05.

I can understand people disliking McGrady, but stop just blatantly making things up.

The need for a third scorer was clear and Bonzi Wells was brought in to be that. Battier was brought in to be an effective player without the ball since the offense was 90% pnr with McGrady/Yao.

You have you appreciate the irony. McGrady has never been considered a "good" defender. At best, he's been considered an average defender with moments of greatness.

And here you claim that he was a "great" defender. And you're also complaining about revisionist garbage.

    Pure awesome.

Let's all sit back and ask ourselves if we have added anything insightful to this thread.

I'll be the first to say I haven't.

McGrady can play good D, the key word being "can". Usually he just half asses it around the court. He did a good job for some of the playoff series against the Mavs guarding Dirk.

Barkley has never seemed to be a huge fan of Tmac. So if he is saying the Rockets disrespected Mac......well.

Barkley is right in that the Rockets organization has disrespected McGrady. Anyone here think he IS being treated respectfully by Les and Morey?

So literally that statement is correct, now opinions will differ whether McGrady "deserved it."

To me that's an assbackwards concern. Who cares about respect and disrespect, during negotiations and posturing things will happen, my only concern is the same as Hball... putting the emo **** aside, could Tmac have helped the Rockets? Did Houston give themselves enough time to figure out if and how they could use Tmac? It's hard to argue that. It seems to an outside observer that they thought they could do it without Tmac and had decided before he came back how they were going to handle it. Using cold logic, as an organizaiton even if Tmac is being a douche you bite your lip and try to showcase him so you can move him and get something back. The idea that now media people are talking about "respect' and "disrespect" shows how much Houston has dropped the ball. If anything they should have the image out there that Tmac is rehabilitated, ready to play team ball and in good shape. Then let the Knicks, Philly or whoever else deal with him

And honestly, being a Rockets fan doesn't mean you automatically hate Tmac, being a Rockets fan simply means you want the best for Houston. If they can trade Tmac somewhere else for a piece that will help Houston then Morey and Tmac have both done their jobs and good luck to everyone involved.
