THEM up? Calderon wasn't doing anything at first. Anyway, this isn't a big deal to me. I mean, yes, KG crossed the line a little bit, but it wasn't crazy, just a little taunting. I would have been fine with him getting a T there, but I don't think it's a travesty he didn't.
the best players let their games speak for themselves.....trash talkers and taunters (at least in pickup bball games) are just annoying and usually only talk AFTER they do something cool, not before, because they aren't that confident in themselves. As for KG, that was pretty weak stuff, but we dont know what happened before that.
For some reason, some players get away with way too much. KG is the master of illegal screens yet he almost never gets called for one.
Think of it like this, Mutombo got a Technical for his finger waggle, his normal reaction when getting a block that he has done for years, last season. And Kg does this, which is intentful, and gets nothing.
This kind of thing makes b-ball fun to watch -- the league needs a bit more of it so long as it doesn't go on to long and cause a fight.
You ladies are over reacting. There is always smack talking in sports. I'm sure there have been worst things SAID than KG taunting with his hands. But since its KG and it was a physical taunt, it looks 10x worst than anyything else. This is the NBA where there is a long list of great smack talkers like MJ, Bird, Barkley, Reggie, ect. Its apart of the game and makes it more entertaining. Calderon knows that. He responded the correct way by creating on the court and talking smack right back at him. Not like some folks here who said they would fight somebody if they taunted them like that. Now that would be classless.
Garnett was being his usual ass self - he was getting right into Calderon's grill and pointing his finger at him while the dude was dribbling down the court! Let me guess - T-mac&Yao = ring is one of the many cast of characters you run into where you play. BTW - what is up with T-mac&Yao = ring always posting in italics?? Getting a little annoying, there. He should have gotten a technical, but Calderon didn't back down which was good to see. Garnett is all talk and no bite. Who can forget anthony peeler punking his ass. Garnett backed off real quick.
