Garnett is the fakest 'tough' player in the NBA. His act is just so obvious that I almost feel embarrassed for him. Will we see him do that to anyone bigger than a point guard? Only if there's distance between them. It's funny how people buy it.
Good thing Calderon didn't let himself get punked. KG is an anomaly. You all hear about how he is so classy but then he goes and does stuff like this (the Peeler incident comes to mind) and you wonder if he is classy at all. We don't know what started this incident but from what I can see, it's just KG being himself, "showing his emotions". Paul Pierce is another guy like that. Ray Allen is the only star on that team I haven't heard anything negative about. I hope we win the title this year because the Celtics proved that you can put 3 perennial losers on one team and they can win a championship. Although they had their trouble. Being taken to 7 games by the 8th seed was ridiculous.
Can you imagine if Ron Artest did that? He would've definitely got T'ed up and tossed and possibly fined. The NBA and the refs need to treat everyone equally and fairly across the board. Hopefully, the league reviews this footage and fines Garnett at least, but I doubt it.

Without knowing what happened before or during Playing with emotion and disrespectful arrogant a-hole mannerisms I consider two different things... As is sending a message to the opponent and outright taunting gesture Garnett was doing that DURING game action. I'm for tough minded old school ball were both players would land punches on each other and not even get ejected. But Garnett wasnt doing any of that. Reminds of a Ron Artest quote where he says something like "I look at KG yapping and talking trash and there's Duncan not saying a word, just smiling and doing his thing. At the end of the game, Wolves sent home again." I like KG when he concentrates on playing ball but I can do without his yapping. No disrespect intended but he needed every bit of Pierce and Allen to lift the championship.
I like KG but that was going too far. Calderon should have slapped his hand away. I like that he didn't back down though.

Sad that a good majority of pick up games involve alot of trash talking and nonsense. That takes away from the game itself. Whatever happened to respecting your opponent and just playing the game?
