    cool. you are right!
i believe that now Yao plays a more important role in the team than KG does, but Yao faces more pressure than KG. now Yao >= KG. you donot believe this? ;)

    I would.

    Rafer
    Tmac
    Bogan or draft pick.
    KG
Yao without his rotten toe nail.

Looks like a contending team to me. :D

I know that KG is better than Yao right now.. but even if the Wolves say yes,I wouldn't do the trade for 2 reasons: 1- KG is old, i dont think he can stay more than 3-4 years at most... 2- Yao's recent numbers, I believe that Yao is still developing and he will be ( he is already starting to be) one of the best centers in NBA history...

KG IS NOT BETTER THEN YAO. ON CURRENT FORM, ONLY LEBRON OR KOBE ARE SUPERIOR TO YAO.

Oh, come on man.... everybody can tell you than KG is a better player RIGHT NOW than Yao is... but i still believe that YAO will be better than him in a couple of years or maybe next season...Kevin has great experience ...

My hope is that soon the "Trade T-Mac for KG" and "Fire Gundy" threads soon become as moot and ridiculous as this one, because none of these things (trading for KG or firing Gundy) will actually happen.

Are you kidding me? Trading Yao for a old PF who has never proved to pass the 1th round playoffs? look at the stats, Yao is better than KG in the first 4 years. Guys, a good center can always handle a good PF, that's the reason why Shaq always beat Duncan in playoffs.

man, be realistic.. you and I and everybody knows that KG does more things than Yao... his body is more suited to the game.. you know: he is athletic, can jump, good post up player, good passer, shot blocking, rebounding, has good midrange jumper... he is a better all around player than Yao... plus you cant forget his long experience in the NBA... actually, it's really hard to compare him to Yao because they have different roles and different play styles... you have a pretty good argument for Yao.. but KG is still KG..

If you take a snapshot of this season, KG might be better than Yao. Going forward, Yao has the potential for significant improvement while KG is a known commodity. The Rockets should not make this trade if offered but if I was another team with the choice of either player, it would be a very tough decision.

Be realistic, if the 30 nba team gms were given the choice of choosing between Yao and KG, whom would you expect them to chose?

For most of the teams, because there is no better C in the league and lots of good pfs to chose from, Yao would be the choice. Shaq is OLD. Ben cannot score. Z is not as good. For PF, Dirk, TD, EB, JO, RW, Bosh, and Howard (not JHoward thoug) are all comparable to KG.
value of (Yao-Cs in the league take average)>value of (KG-PFs in the league take average)
Taking YM, you have a better chance to locate a pf to finish the starting 5. What do you think?
