Thug???? KG plays with more heart than anyone else in the NBA. KG is one of the best power forwards in the game. He dominates everybody and is an amazing player. He wasn't lucky with his shots...he was open. And he did what great players do...hit open shots in the 4th
KG has got to be one of the least thug like players in the entire NBA. Intense, yes. Thug like? No way. Still, wish Yao had his current support cast.
Hey did you haters notice that when Pollard went out with 6 fouls, the entire Celtics bench stood up to give him high fives like he's a conquering hero. Did you also notice that Perkins foul out of the game too? Did you also notice they were doubled, tripled team Yao even before he touches the ball? Did you also notice the refs continued to handcuff Yao with their blind incompetence? But don't let these facts get in your way of hating Yao. You Yao haters....I'm so tired of you, what the hell did Yao ever do to you and your family?
So you made a name of yourself by starting "xxxx dominated Yao" and stating the obvious that Yao was never quick enough to guard opposing PFs thus creating mismatchs to give the opponent advantage. And you are proud of that. Accept my congratulations.
I'm not buying the premise of the thread. KG played like he usually does. He's just got a better team around him. As for Yao's lack of immortal greatness, you forget how he was playing last year before the leg injury. Yao can play great. He needs support too. I mean how painfully obvious is the opponent's game plan when Yao is in and the other four starters are Head, Alston, Battier, and Hayes. You might as well triple team him every play.
He won't always hit those shots and win the game---they will get beat by the pistons and in a couple of years the celts will be a lottery team and kg will go the way of the other on-court thugs like carl malone with no c.ships.
It is fair to be critical but some people are just not being observant and are making disparaging remarks about OURplayers of the Houston Rockets, so much so that I ask the moderators to please watch for deliberate posts done to inflame the general opinion. These posts are not in any way constructive! For example the first few posters of this forum posting have taken a small segment of to-nights game, where a sick Yao Ming, playing sick for several games, played exhausted for over 42 mins to support the team effort. They have used the comparatively fresh defence of KG on Yao to decry the Yao performance. I say they have run foul in the eyes of any decent fan of the rockets.

Exactly, the clutch moderators should downgrade the privilege of some posters who simply like to creat chaos among Rocket fans. Or they just posted to release their anger, disappointment, or whatever, which can only distain the forum. Back to basketball, how many NBA players were never owned by one player in his career? Even player as dominant as Shaq was once owned by Hakeem!
Surrounding Yao with the same quality of players KG is surrounded with may have made a difference. The best players look bad when surrounded by mediocre players.
