I'm a little confused, but how can it be "pork" if its not pig? Pepperoni, sausage, bacon, don't have necessarily have to be pork. I mean they typically are in the US, but could be turkey or beef based.
Sorry. Didn't mean to be confusing. I was just unsure if the religious restriction extended to the "concept" of imitation pork-related foods. I see that it does not. Thanks. Carry on.
Given his un-trollish history, ChrisBosh's post was sarcastic (like mine). In a forum this big, it's hard to keep track of people.
In those countries can a woman cry rape without 2 male witnesses? or what about spousal or child abuse? Ah, never mind.... DD
What makes your comments unsavory is your insistence on arguing on your own paradigm that the Koran, the Torah, and the Bible were merely written by man, while it is the insistence of the respective religions that they were authored by God. So this and every little jab is only really saying 'you worship a false god.' Use a little imagination, accept in a thought exercise the premise that the prohibition of pork is the word of God, and realize that their behavior is very logical.
I understand that some people think that, I do not, nor do I remotely believe that any of those texts were written or given by God to man. And to me, this whole pork thing, which can be attributed to a very old cultural reference is written in those books like it is from God, that to me, is just another nail in the coffin of religion. But, I do understand what you are saying, I just do not happen to agree with it, if others do...ok by me, but they shouldn't be bothered that someone else doesn't share their beliefs. To each his own. DD
I (and everybody else) know that. But, it means you're having a different conversation than everybody else.
