I traded Key a few weeks ago in one of my other fantasy leagues. I have key on my team in another league. I need to get rid of him. I am going to trade him to Mr. Mooch.
Exactly. Keyshawn has been with a crap QB his whole career. Not to mention crap offenses. His numbers are outstanding given the teams he has played for. Which does make you wonder why Dallass. If I was Keyshawn I'd play for a good qb for once. Minnesota would be a nice place. Indianpolis. Green Bay. Philadelphia. I wouldn't pick Tennessee because they spread the ball around too much. Remember the Carl Pickens fiasco. At any rate, I'd like to see him play with a good qb to see what he can do. It's amazing he got dumped like this. I really wonder what happened. But no way I play for a below average Quincy Carter.
well TO only had 60 catches for 714 yards in 1999 but that was the year Young was knocked out in the 3rd game of the season and the Niners just imploded.
wasn't Brad Johnson a Pro-Bowler last year? didnt KJ have Vinnie in 98? he was great that year with a 101+ QB Rating and 29 TDs with over 3,000 yards I don't buy this argument at all.
Vinny had one good year in what, 13 or 15. Tell me who made who. Vinny only has numbers because he's been around for so long. They are nice numbers, but Anyone who starts every game could post career numbers like that. He was never any good. Vinny was more known for throwing to the wrong team than the right one. Keshawn made Vinny. Not the other way around. As for Brad Johnson. Who talks about him as being an elite QB. Didn't they dummy the offense down for him so he wouldn't screw up so much. Neither QB, Vinny nor Brad Johnson has proven much of anything. But even worse, look at the offenses Keyshawn played under.
Keyshawn used to be a great player--I think he would have had similar TDs as Owens in the pass happy SF offense. However Keyshawn has faded, I think he is merely a good-to-above average starting receiver. Certainly not in the Moss, Harrison or Owens class--the top 3 in that order over the last 3 years or so, and probably not in the Holt, Bruce, Jimmy Smith, Rod Smith, Ward, or Mason class anymore either. Still, I love the Cowboys to get a big possession receiver to mix with their speed guys. It makes perfect sense for Keyshawn to go there. Bill Parcels and the best young defense in the league are there--that means he would have a good chance at being an integral part of another super bowl champion.
For those bashing TO ... you can b**** about him being a cancer, you can b**** about him being a prima donna loudmouth, but the dude is w/o a doubt in the elite 3 wrs in the league. And I hate the niners. And Brad Johnson is hardly a scrub qb. If anything he's underrated imo. Is he elite? No, but there are less than a handful of elite qbs out there right now, and who says those said teams would want to give up something for his big contract? As a cowboys fan, I wouldn't want him unless a) he'd be willing to restructure his contract and b) they wouldn't want too much for him. The wr position is hardly a weakness right now.
Honestly, how "talented" is Keyshawn? What's out of the ordinary special about him? He's tall, I'll give him that.

I'm not a KJ fan, but I think he got a raw deal. He never went to the media even though he had obvious issues with Chucky. Unless he was being a complete distraction in the locker room they should have traded him. Dumping a guy 'cause he missed a flight and a Monday morning team meeeting. I think we are all missing something in this storey.
just to include some point of reference when determining KJ's place the WR heirarchy of the NFL R.Moss 1999-2002 345 Rec 5430 yards 43 TD M.Harrison 1999-2002 469 Rec 6322 yards 52 TD Granted, both Moss and Harrison play in vastly different style of O's than KJ has..but the TD differential is so glaring it can't be ignored. I.Hillard only has 3 less TDs over the same period as KJ J.Horn as 8 more TDs
Maybe Keshawn is the problem with the offenses. Brad Johnson also succeeded in Minnesota for about 3 years and he had a good year in Washington. Apparently there's a lot to the story that Tampa hasn't gone to the media against.
It's not that Tampa's offense was dysfunctional, it's that they believed in running the ball. Not passing. Much like the Titans and Eddie George. I don't know who was offensive coordinator during the Jets years. But if it was Joe Walton that explains everything.
