Oh yeah, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.. now there was one crappy movie. The good news about Clerks 2 is that there's no way it could possibly be worse than that.
I'm with Dave2000. I didn't go so far as to buy multiple versions of the DVDs for his earlier movies (because I refuse to by the same movie twice on DVD after all the BS with the Star Wars Trilogy on VHS) but I think eveything he makes is good-great, and I am excited to see Clerks 2. I also agree that Jason Lee is great and I like all of his work as well. For all of you haters: All you motherf***ers are gonna pay, You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna f*** your mothers while you watch and cry like little b*****s. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax f**** who are making that movie, we're gonna make 'em eat our s***, then s*** out our s***, then eat their s***t which is made up of our s*** that we made 'em eat. Then you're all f***ing next.
I agree with this. And after seeing a showing tonight...I have to say, Clerks 2 is the first Smith movie I've really enjoyed since Dogma. (And I didn't even like Dogma that much.) If anyone had asked me before hand I would have criticised the overuse of Jay and Silent Bob movies Smith has made over the years. But I had fond memories at least of Clerks so I figured what the hell...I'm glad I did. It's kind of like the stupid humor/jokes of Clerks...combined with a decent, fleshed out story. Maybe a Clerks/Chasing Amy type combination? that's as close as I can describe it.
it's the country that gave awards to jerry lewis and the fonz for their contributions to motion picture... i like jerry lewis movies when i was a kid btw.
