I see we fitting comfortably back into the pre Harden era where people are hoping anybody from the scrap heap can magically turn into the savior. Sad.
Dr Doom is the Pistons future dude is among the youngest player in his class what he can do at his age is crazy. But then again Pistons were dumb enough to let Cwood go so I dunno. If we can get him the Rox should try really hard.
Eric Gordon is far from the main problem on this Rockets team. #1 Roster makeup is horrible. Too many guard sized players. Too many players who are always unavailable due to being injury prone and/or returning from long injury lay off. #3 Rotations are putrid. Rockets have not figured out best roles for each player, how long to play certain players and which players play best with whom. And there should be a special place in hell for whoever came up with idea to play a guy 34-40 minutes a game in consecutive games when that guy has just returned from a severe injury and 2 year lay off. And for Pete's sake, why is 35 year old PJ Tucker still playing the most minutes on this team???? #3 New systems, plural, are shet. Offense needs to offset lack of all star talent by leaning in to analytics - volume 3's, FTs, layups. F the mid range crap. Defense is 10 times more toxic because philosophy of being multiple does not allow players to be the BEST at anything, zero identity via consistency. Digging yourself into a hole to start every game with porous drop coverage then going small and switch heavy to really back near even is exhausting for such a small and shallow team. Play switch everything as base and use other D schemes as change up instead.
Cousins really. He grew up seeing Cousins throwing hissy fits and he can barely stop getting kicked out now. Do you know the history of Wall. Why would he listen to Dipo and Tucker?
