Kevin Porter Jr will be the Rockets MVP (most versatile player) next season

What do you guys think about this? KPJ, Tate and two #1s for Myles Turner. Personally, I think KPJ is going to be too vital to what we do next yr.

The Pacers have Halliburton and Nembhard, do not need KPJ.

Tate might be useful but he has not played a game in half a year......lmao.

Other teams do not view them as attractive until KPJ balls out which is impossible with the minutes he will be getting.

 

Pointing out guys that accepted a 6th man role, and were successful as examples is fine, you people just want to argue - you guys hate KPJ, it is in all your posts - you never say anything nice about him - he is a Rocket - Rocket's fans should want him to accel as it makes the team better.

Well said! But KPJ haters are like Trumpers, no matter what he does, good or bad, their feelings are not going to change.

We as ROF (Rocket Only Fans) have to continue to root for the TEAM and not for the names on the back of the jerseys.

Yeah, he'll wear many hats.

But, I thiink you drastically underestimate how good he'll be. I see KPJ thriving under Ime, on both sides of the ball. Sliding over where he needs to be, not playing out of position...in his natural flow. Perhaps, it's inevitable that he or Green goes, as they're both "2's", but it could work well, playing off Sengun.

 

That's weird, that's what I would say for KPJ Only Fans like DD and Bobby.

The most important measure to a Rockets only fan is win %, not how nice people are feeling or whose incredibly strong opinion from 2021 is vindicated or disproven.

Let's just win, then we can celebrate whoever is versatile or whatever. No more silver linings.

He's still a kid. KPJ has had additional issues since the Cavs. His immaturity is why he doesn't have a multiyear guaranteed contract. The contract he was forced to sign is humbling. It was the carrot to attempt to get him on the right track by forcing him to behave and if not Rockets do not have to eat money on an immature player. Getting sent to the bench is also humbling, let's see how he handles that.

 

He sulked on the court last year when he had the starting job.......

 

DD is emotionally invested in KPJ.

 

I really hope he does accept the role. He'd be great in an Eddie Johnson, Ricky Pierce role on the Rockets if he got his head straight.

 

This is pretty much the sentiment of any reasonable basketball fan that has actually seen him play over the last 2 years.. But somehow it's misconstrued as being a KPJ hater by a select few of wannabe diehards.. They can't wait to brag and see him average 20ppg on less turnovers and dribbles in his new , which btw is all every perceived KPJ hater has wanted any damn way.. Go figure!
