Porter was just not going to have the opportunity to be developed or even featured like he would have on a team like the Rockets.

Cavs actually played Porter out of position his rookie season at SF.

With all the young guards (high FRP), Porter would have been wasted and was wasted.

His frustration was bubbling over off the court, it was simply a matter of when it would happen not if it would happen.

And using your analogy, it was a perfect storm but a foreseeable one and JBB took steps to help Porter.

Cavs sent Porter to Rockets for altruistic reasons believe it or not.

    Best thing Stone ever did.

    Regardless if serendipity or purposeful.

KPJ has the potential to be as good as De'Aaron Fox.

They still won't win, but maybe they can lose by single digits now. Maybe.

No!!! Just when they're about to win the championship??!!! Come on, dont do him like that!! They should let him see what it feels like to lead his team to a championship.
Yeah, I know I wanted him up when the Vipers were losing, but they've come together well. That's messed up.

Let him win his chip in the g-league before we put him in the tank. This might be the happiest he's been.

    Booooooooo!!!

Should have let him finish what he started. Playoffs are great for experience even if in the minor leagues. Im excited he's coming up, but would have rather seen him play in higher pressure situations.

Armoni's defense makes him a great backcourt partner for Porter.

    And those 10 3balls a game don't hurt either.

If they're going to call him up before the G-League playoffs start, then Stone needs to be working the phone like a mad man to get this kid some actual playing time. If they get back from the All-Star break and Wall, Dipo and Gordon are all still on the roster, where is he going to be getting minutes? If they play him at the 3 like the Cavs did, they're going to screw up his development.

    Agreed.

Unless Rockets are trading Wall, let Porter lead Vioers to a ring first.

    Good practice for him.

Right before I got the news about KPJ coming back, I was about to give my Anthony Lamb comparison. Hes like a 6'6 Louis Scola.

Will this call up prevent THIS from happening?

Hope this is right. Porter deserves that MVP on his resume.

Crazy that Rockets organization are so ignorant of what both Vipers and Rockets fans want to see.

Just out of touch with their fans.

    Morey would have understood.

To think I would be this excited for the Rockets in such a near future situation is outstanding
