He isn’t old but he IS 18 months older than the kids on the Ignition that will be high lottery picks. So while his performance was excellent, I am sure the age difference matters some what.
Couldn't watch the game today because of work. While I understand your point and would add being in a pro system certainly gives him an edge, I think he's special. Hopefully they make the G-League play-offs to give Stone a little more time to clear some space for our young guns.
He has like 125 million left on his contract. Who givin' away 100+ million? I know Tillman's broke ass ain't doing that.
He is special if he stays focused and works hard. He can create for himself, he can create for others, he can finish in traffic, he has an improving shot from the perimeter, he has excellent instincts and he has very good body control. He isn’t James Harden but he has a chance to run an offense at a high level. He also has the intangibles on the court... he sees the game a couple steps ahead of other players and he instinctually knows where everyone is on the court.
That KPJ dime highlight was awesome, too bad its not in our team's playbook to have cut to the baseline, especially from the weakside.
His trajectory has the potential to be similar to roco I think. Totally different players size wise and position wise I know but roco uses to be a great shooter in gleague and then developed the defense that made him a valuable player. With brooks shooting, I think if he can become a good defensive player, he would find a home in the nba.
Ignite is team full of lottery picks and ex NBA starters. They had to trap, blitz and double Porter. And still could not contain him. Getting deja vu but trying to keep expectations reasonable.
I didn't want to say anything but ever since KJ Martin went out the Vipers have been on point. It's like Lamb was the missing piece to the Vipers puzzle. Lamb needs to be s Rocket. A quiet scorer who always seems to be in the right spot.
I like Lamb too, but KJ was not holding Vipers back. KJ is only 19 and was playing rings around Wooten. I blame Abdelfattah if anything.
This is where I've been for 1-2 weeks, if KPJ can replicate this on the big stage, we already have our first lotto pick. I think a key is to maintain his confidence and rhythm once he comes up. That means jettisoning vets prior to his arrival. I would love to see him start at the 2 and move to the 1 one Wallhog rests. Not optimal for his development, but likely best Silas can do for now.
Trading Dipo alone should give KPJ plenty of available minutes. Stone got a little more than two weeks to trade Dipo. It would be a massive fail if he doesn't.
