This is a good place for Porter to land. He got lucky, in my opinion. Luke's an excellent guy for him to be around. The kid has a lot of potential if he can get his act together. Stone's having a busy season and there's a long way to go. I'm a little concerned that this might have added to the difficulty of getting Green a spot on the roster. Guess he'll have to enjoy his coach a bit longer.

Relative to the hand he has been dealt, he’s done a good job imo. Harden wanted out before the season began and in reality, there was only so much other teams were going to offer because they knew he wanted to be on the Nets.

Again, Simmons could’ve been a good get, but apparently he was ecstatic he wasn’t dealt here and probably would’ve wanted out soon too.

Got a pick out of Westbrook and Covington and S&T for Wood who looks to be MIP, if not a contender.

In a few years we’ll have basically nobody on the books and can be a major player (hopefully) in FA.

I’m trying to be optimistic. I miss James and all the success we’ve been blessed with over the past years, but we aren’t the Knicks or the Kings and that’s something to be happy about.

All of this is better than being swept in the playoffs. **** Harden.

Agree to disagree. All I see are a bunch of middling moves tbh. The Kings actaully have better management than we do in Monte Mcnair. Woods and Tate will also likely be gone as well in 3 years because they will be wanting to get paid. If we do a good tank job, than hopefully we can get get a franchise player.

I really want to see how Porter and Wood play the pnr. If the kid can get his head straight those two can be part of a long term core along with one or two of the draft picks we have turning into a Tatum and Brown level of hitting homeruns.

That's a lot of ifs but that is a rebuild that can turn into a potential Celtics level success.

Seriously, how can you b*th or complain about a very talented player for free albeit with character issues? If it does not work, we can just waive him. This is a great trade no matter the outcome. It seems like you just like to complain, when our team is capitalizing on acquiring talent. No offense, amigo.

New to this thread, but that is exactly what I said. We are getting a highly talented player for FREE. It is so depressing that people on CF still find a reason to complain about this move.

Don't we, as Rocket's fans, need something to be excited about after this s*it show? We got a highly talented player for free.... He can always be waived. Just a suggestion - stop being so negative.

You do realize that three second rounders are better than one late first round pick? I am not sure what argument you are making.

With respect, how are those two cases related? One player is payed 40 million per year and the other player was acquired for FREE.

So he likes to fire a gun, welcome to Texas, he can get a CHL.
He likes to smoke weed, mar1juana is practically legal now.
Doesn't want his locker moved, doesn't seem like asking too much. give this man a new shiny locker Murry... er I mean Stone.
Harden lite. What's not to like?

Why so negative? I see this as a positive acquisition without risk. At least we are moving in a specific direction - to rebuild.
