Try and trade Wall in the off season along with a FRP. Add Tate and Martin to the mix. I don't want to give up them, but that might be our only chance, if we're really lucky.

**** that. Wall and KPJ can just take turns running point like Harden and Paul did. No way should the Rockets throw away assets for any reason.

They can, it all depends on Wall's attitude. He shouldn't continue with excessive isolations. Perhaps, he will start trusting Wood and KPJ, but I have some doubts about that.

    Eye test told me

    1. he is big. Bigger than I thought
    2. His hands are excellent on D
    3. He barely rimmed out 3 threes and his shot looked better than expected
    4. If olaPOOPo is a max player, then KPJ is already in the hall of fame
    5. Excellent court vision and unselfishness
    6. He can actually throw a LOB PASS

the 2 anchors in front of him right now are going to mess up his development. I hope we trade at least one

From the highlights he looked passive at times. I wish he would have commanded the ball more and looked to score, but he's trying to learn how to play point guard. It was promising and I would call a successful debut with alot to build on. Patton is starting to stink, but KMJ looked nice.

    Jalen Green here we come!

    Haha...no.

This is a concern that only exists on message boards. Successful NBA players don't get "ruined" by other players on their team, or coaches, or anything.

If a guy is so fragile that the sight of a guy next to him dribbling the basketball, or being traded to San Antonio, sends him into an irreperable emotional tailspin - this individual likely not have the mentality to flourish in the world's most difficult league regardless of his circumstance

We have like 6.5 healthy players on the active roster, and games every 1.5 days till April. There's a ritual Mormon beating on tap tonight less than 24 hours after getting crushed by the Kings!

Nobody should worry about playing time.

I liked what I saw offensively. Already is our team's best playmaker.

However, he looked incredibly lost defensively. If he wants to make a true +- impact it will be on that end of the floor.

Overall I am very excited to watch him play for the rest of the season. PnR with Wood will be nasty.

Edit: also liked what I saw out of Lamb. Good D and willingness to shoot the three.

    Fair enough.

I agree with the mental fragility point; however if KP is “your guy” of this future rebuild - you make that transition as easy as possible and build him up anyway you can. He’s 20, had a rough go at it during his last stop, but is already easily the most talented 1-2 players on this team!

wall is the self-proclaimed franchise guy (and we all know he ain’t the long term franchise option for the rockets). I can see this playing out unfavorably is all I’m saying.

Just hand the keys to KPJ and let him develop. He's has the talent to be a perennial all-star. His success will be dictated by how he matures between the ears. Does he want to be the best player in basketball.

I expected him to be passive. Long time out of the NBA, he's 20 and he has veteran guards ahead of him in the pecking order. That along with the perception of him being a headcase he wanted to shake off.

He looked good in his debut, all things considered. I'm still in "wait and see mode" with him and he's still got to prove he's a blue chip prospect/asset like Woods. Allowing myself to be cautiously optimistic with him because I think he has at least the physical skills to be a solid combo guard, anything above or below that will depend on what's between the ears.

The kid needs to study Harden't dribble through the legs 10 times, fake left and drive right. That move gets separation at Dreamshake levels. I can't think of too many other players that have that move. Porter seems to have practiced of Harden's other moves.

Guess how many double-digit assist games John Wall has had in 25 games this year.

I'll give you a hint, it is only one more than Kevin Porter Jr. has.

The self proclaimed franchise leader is probably offended that KPJ called harden his idol and big brother. KPJ will never see the ball again

He is a kid with immense raw potential. His defense will get better. Most important thing is he has that offensive/playmaking natural feel and skills.
