10 assists with absolute garbage filling the corners for him? I'd say he looked like a solid building block for the future that we need a strategy for in order to develop
I mean for a guy who hasn't played a NBA game in an entire year and just is thrown into the wolves, he looked really good out there. Seemed in command most of the time and made a couple of difficult shots and managed the offense well for the **** talent around him. Was out t of place on defense a lot but that's expected with little practice time with the team and not guarding NBA offenses in a while.
13pts/10ast/5rb/3stl/1blk on 5/11 shooting (1/5 beyond the arc) if he hits 1 or 2 of those 3's that he misses, that statline gets a hell of alot sexier for the debut of a 20yo. Give it some time.
if he hit one more 3 he would be shooting 50/40/90 base line for the season with double digit assists. all nba 3rd team next season!
If he got all nba third team at 21, that would be insane and he would be on track to be a first ballot HOFer. I expect him to be a solid starter next season.
Yeah I’m just screwing around. A little humor/hyperbole in the midst of a 14 game losing streak playing next the best team in the league on a back to back which is the stupid Jazz.
I LOVE IT! A potential waiver wire pickup of the year for me in fantasy basketball, and he’s obviously a nice player to build with in Houston. Wood and KPJ on the PnR? Damn... Just need to get turn Wall into a motivational speaker and trade Oladipo, and we’re set!
The interesting part is that he's only 20 years old. He's definitely going to need to get stronger. Alot stronger! With his body control this guy can learn to draw a bunch of fouls.
