He is really looking good at the point, sure he has a couple of bad turnovers but 9-4 is a very good Assist to Turnover ratio...... Loving how he and Green looked together. Also agree with @cheke64 needs to work on his off hand, though I think Porter is left handed. Heck Christopher has been finishing amazingly well with both hands...if KPj fails at the point.....JC looks like he might be a great candidate. DD
I can't wait to see what the team looks like once we have Tate and Mathews back in the starting lineup. Our optimal lineup thus far has been Kevin Porter (PG), Eric Gordon (SG), Garrison Mathews (SF), Jae'Sean Tate (PF), and Christian Wood (C). Would love to see Jaleen Green inserted as SG into that lineup.
One encouraging sign in regards to the turnovers, according to the Tweet below, was they were all in the 1st quarter. He cleaned that up the rest of the game and we had a chance at the end, but a few things didn’t go our way.
Depends on if we’re running the Theis and Wood double big lineup. Kind of pisses me off knowing we killed spacing and sacrificed the development of our potential young core players just to get Daniel Theis on the floor more. Smh. Like seriously how much more data did they need in order to accept that wasn’t going to work? Wasn’t until the rumor came out that Silas was going to get fired after 15 consecutive losses that he finally decided to scrap it. Pretty much every fan on this site could see that lineup was garbage.
Yes he’s left handed, but he seems to prefer finishing with his right hand, even when driving left which I find a bit odd. He switches back to his right hand in the air quite frequently. Seems like it makes more sense to finish left when going left instead of bringing the ball back into the defender. Finish right when driving right. Leads to some awkward finishes and landings sometimes, but that’s his thing. Ironically Josh Christopher is right handed and most of his drives seem to be going to his left and actually finishing left handed.
There are *so* many talented guards in this league…i think we can add KPJ to that list. Not sure he’ll ever be an all-star just because of how swamped with talent that position is, but KPJ perhaps more importantly can be a key player on a winning team (err, if he continues to develop, I should say). He has a bright future ahead of him, I think most of what’s left for him to conquer is on the mental side of the game. Hopefully he can grasp that side while he’s still an above-average athlete…his game seems somewhat predicated on it, which isn’t that different than the other high-caliber guards around the league. I think, at the end of the day, KPJ can be an important piece to a winning team. Not sure he has “max” or all-NBA potential (sure, the all-star potential is there), but I think it’s an uphill battle for him to obtain those accolades. I would be very happy if he became a 19/7/5 player with good efficiency/usage…
I keep seeing these pictures and I just don’t see 2 inches of height difference. I noticed it more in the pictures earlier in the season. Is it possible Green grew a little bit?
How tall is KPJ? Google says he's 6'4, is that not right? EDIT: nevermind, just saw he officially measured at 6'6. That's good that Jalen looks about this same height, then.
By the pic, Green seems slightly taller but part of it could be Green's hair, which is an upward slanting pony tail. KPJ going for the cornrows makes it easier to tell now, whereas before it was harder to see with the fro. Both guys are listed 6'4" (as per NBA.com), so being similar height matches the eye test / picture.
