No, I read it, and yes, he can sue.....just as we can waive..... The problem is that people in here want the org to just release him now, and the org has chosen not to do that to try to explore every avenue, no matter how unlikely. In the end, the right thing will be done. Come on, that is the constitution - don't try to paint me with saying he is innocent, I believe him to be guilty, but you are entitled to a trial by your peers......and until then there is a presumption of innocence. FFS - you don't need a villian to b**** about - here.....just ****ing b**** about the team not doing what you want them to do......no one here has an OUNCE of say or power....no need to jump on each other. DD
I have a bad feeling they're going to try to just hope that it dies down and wait for the NBA to suspend him 25 games and then say he's rehabilitated and bring him back.
Court cases can go on though.....esp. if it is a complex one. If his court case is still going on after those 25 games. No sane GM would want that unless your name is Kobe and your team are the Fakers.
Are you taking a position to ask people to chill out on judging the org, then offer reasons why the Rockets are doing what they’re doing? That’s fine. I do that too sometimes, on other topics… but here, I’m annoyed with Woj and Feigen for forwarding false info. Do you ever get annoyed when bad info is spread by the news media? Because it then fuels false narratives and muddies discussion? There are several reasons why the Rockets might not exercise their right to waive, right now: NBA investigation is not one of them (Woj’s false statement). Solely bc of Arrest is not one of them (Feigen’s false statement). And fear of lawsuit isn’t one of them. Helping clarify this is my interest in this thread, atm. I can list the valid reasons CBA professionals like Bobby Marks are providing, if that’s useful. In fact, Bima is now 100% onboard with one of Bobby Marks’ reasons. While we’re both patiently waiting, are u interested in discussing valid reasons of no action.
Nope an utter waste of time. Gonna let this go to whatever natural conclusion - confident in knowing that none of it will matter in the end, they will make a business decision and they should - I support the org completely in how they are handling this. DD
OK, how about this reason for no action. The Rockets are not allowed to waive right now, until the NBA completes its investigation.
Have the Rockets made any additional statements beyond the initial ‘we are aware of the situation’ non statement? They should at least have said something denouncing domestic violence
So basically the East got better and the Rockets are still hanging on the lips of Silver and one Stone.
Bingo, but the Rockets proved themselves to be a business and not some organization that really cares for the next ones..... Those charities are just fake, when it really matters, not a word.
the whole "he can sue" thing is one of the more bizarre things i've seen on this forum, where did it even come from? Nobody has ever worried about a player suing for being released, why is this even being brought up now
Lol from the television and the notion that in America anyone can sue anybody and has a chance to win.
Nah, it is real, I watched it on the telly and some people really believe it because there are really cases of employees succeeding vs conglomerates....but certainly not the majority.
