I think coming back to the team could be a good thing for him.I don't know how long it should be because everyone grieves in their own way... There comes a time when you need to move forward and that's what his daughter would want.My Mother lost someone very close and was in deep depression for over two years.I certainly wouldn't wan't that for my loved one's after I pass.He certainly needs grieving time with his family but getting back into a routine can also be part of the healing process.

I think on a personal level he would probably want to get back to something normal but on a family level I'm sure he is feeling an intense need to be there for his wife and to have her close to him as well. Whatever is best for him and his family is what he needs to do.
This is a great gesture from the players, especially since it's in the middle of a back to back. It would mean a great deal for McHale and his family. There will also be a lot of chemistry building along the way too. The OKC game will be one emotional game.
So what? I would be okay if they forfeited the OKC game to attend the memorial. We're talking about a father's daughter here. Sports can be put on hold for another day.
I know for our family going back to routine was really difficult, but eventually it helped us to cope. Thoughts still with Mchale and his family... Tomorrow and Wednesday will be really tough.
I wish Kevin knew how much supPort and well wishers he has amongst Rocket fans for him and his family during these sad circumstances.

I am still emotional over Coach McHale's loss. It pains me to think what he and his wife Lynn are going through at the moment. God bless them in this time of grief.
The team will be wearing black patches on their jerseys tonight to honor Sasha. Don't have the link at the moment, but it's at the end of the game preview on NBA.com, and I think it's great that the team is going to the funeral, despite the schedule. This is a time to come together, and they are.
Very nice move by the Rockets. I love this organization, their "never-tank" strategy, their executive management, and the players.
I can't imagine what their family is going through right now. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.
Celtic pride... :-/

#Rockets will wear green band on jerseys 2nite. Daddy's lil girl wore 32 on HS jersey. Green fave color.
