    ^^

I just don't understand the logic of bringing him back. The team has improved each year b/c well...the TEAM HAS IMPROVED EACH YEAR (personnel wise).

McHale is the bane of my existence.

I'm curious who CF thinks was/is the worse "coach": Kubiak of McHale?

my only consolation about us losing in the playoffs was that we'll get a better coach....sigh.

The team has improved each year because Kevin McHale improved the personnel. Morey said it himself that McHale was a big factor in getting Dwight to come. Morey and Les are disliked by NBA players (and humans in general) and never signed any star free agent until McHale got them Dwight.

McHale treats players like humans while Morey considers them assets like Donald Sterling does.

did you just compared Morey to Sterling? wow. Morey sees players as assets like all good GMs should. it's the GM's job to get the best possible personnel for the team, not to be "buddy buddy" with the players.

Plantation mentality. You, Morey and Sterling are three peas in a pod.

If you want to get the best possible personnel for the team, treating players like assets is often counter-productive. The best players in the NBA often get to choose where they go, except initially through the draft, so to get them you either have to tank for a pick (which Les and Morey refuse to do) or you must attract them to make a free choice to join your team and in essence donate tens of millions of dollars of value in excess of their contract $ amount to your team.

This is why the humanity of Kevin McHale is important.
