Disagree, they both have very similar enunciation and a slight lisp. Only difference I hear is that James Woods' voice has a higher pitch.
Woods born in Utah, grew up in Rhode Island; McHale born and raised in Minnesota. It's not the accent . . . and McHale's voice is deeper. Dude, I'm not hearing it. Interesting "poll" though!
OK, after further investigation into this important issue, I have heard some similarity: they both have a kind of gargle effect, when sounds come from the back of the throat. McHale has a hint of that thing where "l's" are pronounced on the back of the tongue instead of the tip of the tongue (like Tom Brokaw). And he often talks from way back in his throat (not through the nose). At around 1:00 when James Woods starts talking deeper he sounds more like McHale. Woods is more nasal. I know nothing about this topic, but those are my scientific findings!
